Trap music is getting a little more diverse as its time progresses. From making fusion genres (such as hard trap, raw trap, and future bass) to snare layering.

I am distancing from Fanpop slowly, but I did have to post this here since it is one of the few communities that people would likely appreciate it, but despite being someone who is a fan of a lot of "classical" compositions and classical-like compositions such as film music and actual classical music, I find the modern wave of electronic music, trap, EDM, and rap to be very respectable and great from a craftsmanship stance.

I find it particularly that at least those genres seem to be a shift away from melodic-focused music to rhythmic and beat focused music. Previously a lot of theory and composition focused on various ways to mix melodies in ways to create unique pieces that gave off different energies and expressed things differently using rhythm and beat to augment and support the melodies and harmonies, whereas it seems between these more modern appearing genres that can get shrugged off that the focus is more on balancing and blending a variety of rhythms and beats where melodies and motifs are more used to augment and support the beats.

By all regards it doesn't harvest the same skill as classical music and classical instruments, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hold skill otherwise not seen in other genres. Admittedly, I do feel some creators - particularly in the rap community - don't use the more rhythm-focused nature of the genre to the highest potential and that some do seem lazy / taking advantage of the things that are "easier" about electronic music / rhythmic music without bringing much of anything new to the table, but I really feel it is unfair to diss the entire genre that way.

Also admittedly, I do understand and find the sentiment of "it is too much / too loud / too overstimulating", but to diss it is to shrug off a new change in (mostly) instrumental composition

Tomb Raider 2013 is everything I hate about the 2010 era of video gaming. Boring gameplay that sets you on a linear path, very little mechanics to make it remotely interesting, walking, just fucking walking all the time, making the game more cinematic, because when I buy a game, I actually want to watch a movie. Silly me. Thank god the game knows what I want instead of my brain. Also Lara is the most boring protagonist in a game, when they tried to make her more serious, they just make her fall down all the time, hurt herself, and then moan. The fact that this game has won awards and has completely made the original games null and void is baffling and kind of insulting

“Dude” and “guys” should be considered gender-neutral. I’m part of a Non-Binary Facebook group, and I’ve often been told that I have to refer everyone as “folx” instead of the other 2, because they’re “too gendered”. 🙄

I get that maybe some people may not like being called “dude” or whatever, but I use it in a gender-neutral context. To me, EVERYONE is “dude/guy” etc. It’s not fair to force me to change how I use a word just because someone thinks it’s “gendered”. It’s honestly hypocritical, in a sense. Like, I’m not even using “dude” in a gendered context, I’m literally using it to refer to ALL people. Not just males. It’s ridiculous AF.

This is probably more controversial than unpopular, but I think rule 34 about fictional works is okay, even if it's with a series with a young target audience, as long as it's tagged and kept in nsfw spaces. Likewise, I think ANY kind of fictional content is acceptable in those nsfw spaces as long as it's, again, tagged, and no real person is being represented. This includes things like loli/shota, furry porn, and noncon fics. I agree that fiction can influence people and kids are impressionable, but there's a difference between creating something you want the whole world to see and creating something self-indulgent as a form of escapism or therapy and want to share it with other adults like you. Additionally, kinks are not morals. Any decent person is against things like predatory behavior and other forms of abuse, and it shouldn't be up to what kind of self-indulgent fiction that person likes to determine whether they're a good person or not.

There should be a limit to the amount of images / quiz questions you can post to one club in one day. Like 20 - 30 images, 15 - 20 quiz questions.

You could say to me "But princestale! Fanpop needs all the content it can get right now or we'll become a ghost town". To which I'd say "true, but the solution defs ain't people dumping dozens of images that are practically the same. In fact, low-effort content dumps crowding the updates feed probs has the opposite effect - it may actually drive users away".

Or maybe let people dump as much content as they want, but after a certain number is reached for that day, additional images / quizz questions won't count towards gold or club awards. Idk.

Also I don't care about gold too much (not creative enough to customise my profile much anyway lol) but it's ridiculous that one image gives you as much gold as creating an entire poll. Polls can be so much effort, especially when you have like ten options and want to find an image for each one (and then half the image formats don't work and you need to find a new one to upload - arghhhhh)

I don't think fighting Sonic in online is as bad as many people had claimed. I do understand that Sonic's playstyle is to camp and spam his special moves and can decide to stall out the match. That playstyle is indeed annoying to fight (especially if you're playing a character with no zoning tools like Roy and Donkey Kong). But to me personally, that's fine by me; I could just use my zoning tools to force Sonic to go on the offensive since I tend to play characters that has some zoning tools (even Inkling).

TV Series shouldn't be considered TV-MA just because they say fuck a couple times (or even a lot) if everything else is tame and not graphic. At the very least they should be considered Unrated or TV-14. I'm looking at you, Space Force and Self-Made. Go graphic or go PG-13.

Hawkeye cared WAY more about Trapper than Trapper cared about him. Trapper was using him to entertain himself, so he wouldn't get bored and lose his sanity. Hawkeye cared so deeply about him that he would do whatever he asked of him, which is why his pranks tended to be much more aggressive and humiliating in the seasons where Trapper is around. The man was a bad influence on him.

I'm not at all surprised that Trapper never left a note or wrote to Hawkeye again. The war was over and done with for him and he just didn't need him anymore. This is why Hawkeye was so afraid when it was time to part ways with B.J.
He was afraid that he wouldn't be needed anymore and so he'd never see him again. But B.J. actually did care about Hawkeye equally, so he too was leaving in fear of never seeing him again.

Idk if this is unpopular, but some lives are worth more than others. By that I mean that a kind hearted, generous, kind person's life is worth than some sadistic bully who hurts innocent people.

Okay, I don't hate or dislike Zendaya, but how the hell did she get an Emmy nomination for her performance in Euphoria? I'm sorry, but she is a horrible actress and her performance was awful. I wanted to like her performance in the show but it's just so terrible. She's a great dancer, has a nice enough voice, is pretty, and a sweet person but she can't act her way out of a paper bag. This just proves to me that award shows are a popularity contest and not based on real talent. There are FAR more talented women who have been denied Emmy nominations/wins and Zendaya just doesn't deserve it. Sorry, not sorry!
