This girl displays the most of these traits in the face of adversity. Mulan tackles the most problems of any DP in the lineup. As for self-esteem, Mulan grows into it-- which I find very realistic. Self-confidence is not always something one has as "an innate skill."

I don't think Mulan starts confident enough though she ends up more confident and I don't think she started the film or ended it with enough optimism to be classified as embodying those traits. I think Belle shows all 5 though.

Honestly I don't think Belle is all that optimistic, but I'd say that Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana exhibit all of these traits very well.

^ I do. She's very optimistic with her father's inventions even though they've most likely cost them a lot and forced them to move to a poorer town than they were living before. She's lonely but she talks to her father about it, showing her concern but hope at the same time. Also with the Beast, it is her optimism that starts the change in the Beast allowing for the love to grow. When they are arguing after she ran away and he saved her, she was the one who turned a negative argument into an optimistic compliment when she said "Thank you.. for saving my life." to which he replies "Your welcome." with a shocked face and stops resisting her so much. She was also very optimistic in teaching him how to feed the birds outside in the snow. It never occurred to her that he wouldn't be able to do it because she was optimistic about it. She was also very optimistic in initiating a snowball fight with him as well as the ballroom dance. I find her to be very optimistic and courageous.

I don't think Mulan and Tiana are as optimistic though. Pocahontas, maybe.
