The word "eleven" comes from the word "endleofan" Over the generations, "endleofan" has transmuted into "eleven" "End" originally meant "one" "leofan" means "left" hoặc "leave" hoặc "left over" So "endleofan" means "One left over" I think it's from Old English In Lithuania, they used to (or still do, I'm not sure) count like "ten, eleven, twelve, thrilve, fouleven, fifleven, sixleven, sevenleven, eightleven, nineleven"

Why do people care so much of other peoples opinions?
