Spread the word about Fanpop to all your friends!

So you've stumbled upon fanpop because bạn were Googling hoặc clicked on a link somewhere. What I just described are the clear symptoms of Fanpopitis. Visitors become users who eventually become addicts! We've come to know so many great Fanpoppers since we launched the site back in August of 2006 and it's been growing ever since. We tình yêu it when we see a new face become really active in the community because it means that someone has found a trang chủ at Fanpop. We know that not everyone uses webmail anymore and a lot of people communicate with their Những người bạn through social networks. HouseFreak you know, the way you described it is exactly how I got fanpoped. lol This sounds really great especially about inviting friends through the social networks because you are right about them, they are a main way of communications now days, plus I haven't seen this anywhere else which is kind of awesome XD

knifewrench Problem is, all my friends know about Fanpop thanks to me; and now whenever I suggest they join or hint towards it they say something like "My gosh, James, we get it! You love Fanpop, get over it!" and so I have no chance convincing them to join because I bug them about it too much! Plus there are so many sites that are inferior to Fanpop which I get invited to, so as soon as I see those other sites it's like "DELETE" instantly; and I think other people will be thinking "Oh, it's just another social networking site...". So I don't think "invite a friend" will work for me. I guess I just have to ease it into the conversation a lot slower.

DrDevience Can Cliff next make it so that when you invite someone from a specific Spot you get credit when they join? that's what I have done, and like 4 have joined I think... but it doesn't count.

PkmnTrainerJ Your friends say "My gosh" knifey? Mock them for sounding camp and then force them in to Fanpop. :-P I have invited a fair few people, and personalised the message, saying it wasn't spam, and actually was from me personally, so I should get a few people.

dave Thanks Lori! We're actually working on getting the new invite feature integrated into the spot invites as well...unfortunately I don't think we can retroactively count those 4 friends you invited...but maybe we can work something out since it's DrDevience. ;)

harold I would love to invite all of my friends and family. Unfortunately, the invite e-mail still reads like spam - there's no personalization and the subject line is "Someone is a fan of you", which has so far discouraged me from sending it out to most people I know. But, with this encouragement, I will try and see if they sign up or not.

_lina_ I've tried sending invites, but for whatever reason the people never get an e-mail... Two people I've told about Fanpop have joined without me getting any credit, and my sister want to join but I'm forcing her to wait until I figure out what the problem is so I can get credit ;) I've sent you guys a "contact us" message, but so far no response. Recently i finally found how to screencap a page on the internet. I had been looking for ages and finally i found out how to.Naturally i was very pleased and was waiting for a chance to use it.

My Joy was short lived

This is a little game I made up just because I was bored. I enjoy it, so I figured I’d share it.
Just a warning: This game is only fun if there’s a spot you’ve added a lot of hình ảnh to, but enough have been added bởi other people to make it challenging.

So, the object of the game is to... get lots of points? And to encourage proper image etiquette.

Spoiler picks don't have to ruin the fun for everyone

Nobody likes it when others ruin their fun bởi telling them the end of the story. Some people just aren't as caught up with others because they're busy hoặc haven't gotten around to it. Whether it's your yêu thích TV hiển thị and you're a few episodes behind hoặc a book that bạn haven't read yet, the last thing bạn want is for someone to tell bạn what happens. Spoilers can ruin the fun for everyone else and the last thing we want to do is take the fun out of your yêu thích stuff.

Lately I have noticed a swell in the amount of inappropriate comments. các bình luận that have sexual innuendo, are hurtful, hoặc are just plain gross, and most of the time they have nothing to do with the topic at hand. What I fail to grasp is why people feel like they need to do this. I can't understand why they can't control themselves and write something appropriate hoặc nothing at all. The door to Fanpop is always open

I have had technology since I was three. Playing link and link on my SNES against/with my family (parents included!) were part of my childhood. I came onto the internet when I was around eleven, still fueled bởi a need for technology, rarely seen without my Gameboy and link in it. I had to, as most people, find a place on the internet to settle into. I tried many places, first setting myself up a site at link, probably back when Dave and papa were still there and hadn't even started to think of fanpop yet.
