Ugh, unfortunately. Really, Elsa is just the lesser of two evils. Both of them promote wrong messed up ideas of feminism and it just kills me that we finally have princesses without love interests and they have to be.....this.

uploaded900 picked Elsa:
All what feminism means is equality of both sexes. Merida seems to portray anything as girly as bad I guess.

Merida's message is more in your face, whereas Elsa's is more subtle.

AudreyFreak picked Elsa:
I wanna say Merida, but I see a lot more feminists expressing their dissatisfaction with her than Elsa.

Which I for the life of me can't understand. Merida is EXACTLY what they've been asking for! doesn't have a love interest, is a tomboy, has a good (if rocky) relationship with another female, does what she wants when she wants to, etc. while Elsa is a rehash of all the traits they hate so much in other princesses- doesn't stand up for herself, "lets" others rescue her, likes sparkly dresses, is a plot device and lacks agency, etc.
