Also Odette and Lola. There is absolutely no such thing as a character with no personality. I mean, I'm not crazy about Elsa but she does have a personality, even though it's not a very interesting or well-developed one. All of them have a personality, some more developed than others. Unless they're a VERY MINOR character like the woman from Beauty and The Beast who says "I NEED SIX EGGS!" or the guy from The Princess and The Frog who said "You need hand there buddy?", the character HAS a personality! It maybe poorly written, not very well-developed, or very little but it's there.

^ Agreed. Just because a character's personality is poorly developed or uninteresting, it doesn't mean they don't have one. And way too many characters get labeled as having no personality.

I think there is such a thing as a character having no personality -- honestly Elsa is more a plot point than a person - and while I think Frozen is nothing special, the scene where Elsa was so upset over her parents dying that she froze her entire room was kind of intense. I don't remember anything especially gripping about any of the other characters.

Now, I do think there's such a thing as a character without personality. Mostly because of what the audience is making out the character to be but, what really matters is what the writers made them to be like. For Example I can think a quite of few characters whose personality is obvious to the point when almost no one ever complained about them having no personality Courtney from TD,Sailor moon from " ",Lightning from Cars,PPG from " ", Pinkie Pie from MLP,Misty from Pokemon, Etc. For those characters for rarely being criticized for having no personality is because of all the effort that was put forward making it seem obvious. If you look back at these characters in this poll you'll see the personality is either a lot more settle, a lot more poorly developed, not as obvious or just doesn't have one in my opinion. Point is that the characters who are claimed to have no personality are the characters who can easily be seen as lifeless compared to those who show it a great amount and them not having one just depends on the point of view of the fans and haters who watch the show/movie/book. It's very likely that you'll run into a character who you think have 0 personality rather you want to admit it or not. Especially where there's more than enough media to explore more characters in the world of fiction. though I will admit I do have a harder to meet expectation about a personality than most people do. So I'm more likely to find a character I find painfully bland or a character I think don't have a personality but, I actually do like that everyone has been doing this "every character has one" thing. It's positive and something that's really refreshing to see in a website that was built to hold people having different opinions(not that there's anything wrong with that).

AudreyFreak picked Aurora (Sleeping Beauty):
hey, at least the guy offering help was kind. that's a personality trait ;)

aside from Odette (I feel like a hypocrite liking her because I have so much trouble trying to analyze her personality or even describe it) most of these have more personality than a lot of so called more developed characters with apparently 'stronger' personalities.

I can actually describe Odette's personality quite well. She's kind, caring, and sweet, which is shown with the way she's always kind to her friends and the way she was tended to Puffin's wounds when he was hurt from an arrow. She's very strong, self-reliant, and brave, which is shown with the way she's constantly standing up to Rothbart and refusing to give her, her father's kingdom and let him cause suffering for her people in the process, along with being able to stay emotionally strong during this tough situation. She's very selfless because she tells Derek that he needs to leave and not fight Rothbart because he could be hurt or killed. She's witty, fun, and playful, which is shown with the way she's always playing off of Jean-Bob with him trying to get her to kiss him and convince everyone he's a prince. She's also very smart and quick thinking, which is shown when the sun goes down and Derek is about to shoot at her and Puffin by telling him to go and hide in the trees. She's quite heroic in her swan form because she saves Jean Bob quite a bit, saved Puffin in that scene I mentioned, and saving Bromley from drowning when he's thrown into the dungeon with her. She's also very confident and independent, which is shown with how she won't marry Derek (who she loves) until he tells her what he loves about her besides her looks. She's also a little reckless because she rushed off to Derek in her swan form without thinking. I can see and describe her personality quite vividly.

Aurora, Odette and Shanti (first movie at least). The other ones I just don't care for or I totally dislike.

wavesurf picked Odette (The thiên nga Princess):
Hmm. Odette, and Aurora. Madelline from THOND2. I liked her. What little personality Elsa has, is overshadowed by her powers; the movie describes Elsa's powers more often than it concentrates on Elsa's personality. I didn't see the Jungle Book sequels.

Shanti does have more of a personality in the 2nd movie, and I love it a lot. I might prefer Aurora, but felt the need to defend Shanti on this one

Elsa is one-note, but there's a personality. Madeleine also has a personality, even though she's a character i'm not wild about.

The others are just pretty faces for the boys to swoon over and rescue and nothing else.

AudreyFreak picked Aurora (Sleeping Beauty):
^weird, since that's exactly what you like about Belle and Dany: pretty faces for you to project onto, especially for shipping.

Elsa, Aurora and Odette also have much more obvious personalities than characters you like like the spring sprite or the flat Giselle but that doesn't stop you.

MStriegs picked Lola Bunny (Space Jam):
It’s hard to determine a character’s personality when they are given 2 and a half minutes of screentime. Lola almost didn’t make it in the movie.
