I think Elsa's natural hair type is wavy. We see her hair thêm straight as she reaches Ahtohallan, though. When in a braid, the tips of her hair look wavy, especially in comparison to Anna's hair when braided (which becomes wavy due to the plaited style). Elsa's hair would be brown like Iduna's, and possibly curlier, if she didn't have her ice powers.
