I think Công chúa tóc mây is the most overrated DP film. I don't know, maybe it's just because it has a lot of obsessive fangirls, but I don't think it lives up to the hype, and I personally don't find it classic material. A lot of the phraseology and most of the âm nhạc will be outdated in ten years, and, unlike the âm nhạc in, say, Cinderella, it won't at least have classic style to it, it will simply be outdated.

I think PATF is the most underrated. I honestly don't get what is so TERRIBLE about it, and while it is objectively one of the weaker DP films, I definitely think it holds its own among them, and is at least enjoyable.

I think The Little Mermaid is neither overrated not underrated. I think it is được trao just the right amount of credit. It really is a masterpiece, and very creative.

Even though I like Công chúa tóc mây very much, I think this movie is the một giây most overrated Princess film. I do think this could be a classic but at this time, it is not and I get mad when people say its better than the films of the Renaissance. It does have potential to be a classic in a decade hoặc so.

@Jayden-G That's something bạn will have to live with, the same way I have to live with people growing up in the late 80th/90th being all crazy over the Renaissance phim chiếu rạp and snubbing the classic ones. It's thêm a matter of nostalgy than anything else. I have one favourite movie of each era, because each of them presented us with some outstanding work. But most people are so attached to the phim chiếu rạp they grew up with, they don't really pay attention to the older ones, and oftern complain that the newer ones just aren't as good as the phim chiếu rạp they feel connected with due to nostalgia.

But the difference between Lọ lem and Pocahontas is that Pocahontas waa suppose to be big epic Disney movie based on a real even....and it's everything but that. Lọ lem was suppose to be a fairy tale from the get-go (and fairy tales are per definition thêm about symbols and less about character development and realistic story telling), and people nowadays take this movie way thêm serious than the animators did. I guess, they knew what a horrble and unrealistic story it really is, so they did a lot of lambshading...it always cracks me up when the Grand Duke makes his speech about how unlikely tình yêu at the first sight is and when he points out that the shoe will fit thêm than one girl. hoặc when the fairy godmother is all "Well, naturally I'm your fairy godmother, just roll with it!"

Beauty and th Beast does Dave a few problems. After the first ngày Belle is at the castle, Maurice leaves the town to go and save her. Something there is supposed to take place siring a few weeks/ months, and the tiếp theo time bạn see Maurice, he passed out in the middle of the forest. TOTALLY AGREE. I usually tình yêu all DP movies, but Nữ hoàng băng giá is THE MOST overrated movie I've ever seen, tiếp theo to Brave.

The perfectly rated one is Cinderella. I think the exaggerated it too much putting in the blue dress and the new sparkles. But the movie itself deserves it. How is Sleeping Beauty overrated? I have to fight for this movie (and all the other classic Disney movies) in thêm hoặc less every single countdown. Some for Tangled, btw, which was also criminally neglected when it comes to awards because it hit the theaters in an unlucky year.

Even though Aladdin và cây đèn thần is one of my favourite movies, it has dated horribly in the past 20 years. But when I was little, I never paid attention to Genies pop references and jokes, so that doesn't really matter to me. Sleeping Beauty is overrated because the story is mediocre at best, has much thêm filler than Lọ lem and Snow White, all of the characters except for the nàng tiên are dull, and there are many plot holes. I think it is o.n par with The Sword of the Stone, but people only say Sleeping Beauty is better because of the phim hoạt hình and because it is a princess film, meaning thêm exposure. Both phim chiếu rạp are boring and uninspiring.

Oh, I think Aladdin và cây đèn thần is outdated too, but that just sort of went with the feel of the movie, if bạn know what I mean, while the rest of Công chúa tóc mây is basically the quintessential fairytale, so it doesn't stand out as much.

Sleeping Beauty is a aquired taste, but too say it's overrated is wrong on thêm than oen level. If the movie gets any love, it's because Aurora's beautiful. No one even notices the animation, the story, the characters, the music, anything. The movie is a piece of culture, a piece of art. Which is much thêm than can be đã đưa ý kiến for Brave, while I tình yêu that movie it's a plain movie and Merida hasn't had her cornation yet.

Actually...no. I Yes, I like the phim hoạt hình and especially the âm nhạc in Sleeping Beauty, considering that I tình yêu Ballett. I agree with Jessikaoo, it's a piece of Art, and for that alone it deserves thêm respect it gets. But it is also one of the most feminist phim chiếu rạp I know (if bạn see the nàng tiên as the main protagonists and Aurora only like the catalyst, like I do). Yes, the movie pretty much ignores usual story-telling bởi not focussing on Aurora. But honestly, I'm not sure how much of a disadvantage that is - sometimes "different" is not really bad. I also don't think that Maleficient is dull at all, neither is Prince Phillip, who always was and always will be my favourite Disney prince. And what Plot Holes are bạn talking about? I can't think of a single one in Sleeping Beauty. (What aggrevates me about Aladdin và cây đèn thần btw is that no one is able to recognize the other one...come on, he just wears different clothes, he is not THAT difficult to recognize).

A plot hole for Sleeping Beauty is that everything that could go wrong with hiding Aurora happens all in one day, when it could have been evened out more. I have to agree that it is a piece of art, but that is ONLY because of its animation. When Phillip fight Maleficent, he does not say a word, grunt, hoặc moan, which makes the film much thêm annoying to me, and how some of them don't talk when it would be necessary which takes away the attachment and the joy of the film. He doesn't say a word because Mary Costa, the voice of Aurora, shoot out her voice and because of some peticularies in the contract it resulted in both the voices of Phillip and Aurora not being available for the một giây part of the movie. THAT'S the reason why there isn't even a grunt, Disney ended up with a huge problem during production and they had to work around it. And they did it bởi conveying a lot which couldn't be đã đưa ý kiến through phim hoạt hình and bởi using well placed âm nhạc (I can't stress enough how outstanding the âm nhạc in this movie is). But bạn know what a good thing is? That I'm not forced to watch the english version of the movie. The German dubbing is definitly the better one and gives the movie a small edge over the english version which is good too but, I admit, can be thêm draggy because the dialogue is spoken less lively.

Oh, and everything happening in one day...that's not a plot hole that's, if anything, a plot contrivance, but one which makes a lot of sense. If the fairy go overconfidend and make a mistake, it naturally happens at the very last day.

I think Sleepign beauty is apiece of art because of the story, it's classic. I could watch it forever, it's enchanting. Plus the music, score and characters are wirthy of being called art. There's thêm to SB than the animation,but I feel like the only one whos ees it.

It annoys me when everyone thinks Công chúa tóc mây is overrated, it's a great movie and I agree with SwanPride when she says Aladdin và cây đèn thần will be outdated soon. Lọ lem is perfectly rated, I don't really need to explain. Pocahontas is kind of a poor storyline IMO...John Smith is a boring character and so is Pocahontas. I tình yêu the soundtrack, it's fantastic, but as an tổng thể movie, it's not very good and people only freak out about it BECAUSE of the amazing soundtrack.

I đã đưa ý kiến that because it is not one of the best to come out from the renaissance, it's like 4th hoặc fifth, and I do know that The Little Mermaid started the renaissance and win two oscars and a golden globe. Some phim chiếu rạp did better critically, and all except The Reacuers Down Under did better financially, which is why I đã đưa ý kiến that. I know the importance of The Little Mermaid to Disney, and even the worst filing frill the Renaissance (Hercules) is still kick ass. The little Mermaid is a phenomenal movie in all aspects.

I don't think Merida should be a Disney Princess either, but they confirmed her and started selling her with the others, so people started to include her in the số phiếu bầu and articles.
