Would this be considered a fanfiction?

So I'm planning a new story and it's based off of several songs and âm nhạc video from the album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge bởi My Chemical Romance, mostly Helena and The Ghost Of bạn (I'm actually naming it after The Ghost of You) It won't be about any of the band memebers, although some of them will be named after hoặc similarly to some of them.

The story is (currently) about a guy named Jared who's wife, Helena, gets shot and killed during a shoot out with the police and a drug dealer at a restaurant they were going for their first anniversary. Jared becomes and alcoholic after this and almost kills himself but his brother convinces him to sober up and tham gia the military because of the war.

That's really all I got so far, but I don't want to write a fanfiction. I want this to be a story that is based off of the hình ảnh these songs paint in my mind rather than fanfic. I do know the story of the album, and I don't want it to be just another version of that, although there are several references like Jareds house being on a đường phố, street called Cemetery Drive and the gun fight in a restaurant.

PS, quick follow up question- I want a last name similar but not obviously meant to sound like Way for Jared and Michael. Thank you!
