Good Question, I have been wondering that myself. Since season four. If Bobby had the panic room why wouldn’t he offer it to Dean. Bobby did say that it was Demon proof, ghost proof, why wouldn’t it be Hellhound proof?

I don’t think he built in while Dean was in Hell. Bobby didn’t do much of anything while Dean was gone. But bạn never know. But I had been thinking about that myself too…

I think him building it while Dean was in Hell is a good explanation, because if he'd had it before, surely at some point one of the boys would have found out about it, with all the time they'd spent there.
