Wheels of Evil – Part 12
Twilight Sky finished work late at night. He was a bouncer at a local club called the Saucy Mare. His flat was far away from the club. It was his habit to hitch hike on a carriage to get home. The grey earth ngựa con, ngựa, pony thanked the Creator for the rain stopped as soon as he got off from the hàng đầu, đầu trang of potatoes on the cart.
“Thanks for the ride!” T-Sky exclaimed.
The ngựa con, ngựa, pony pulling the xe đẩy, giỏ hàng saluted back to him and trotted off. Soon, Twilight Sky was alone. The đường phố, street was deserted. Still wet and hazy. His áo, áo khoác bristled up from the cold. He sighed, knowing he still has to walk a few miles. He was tired.
Soon, he stopped under a bridge nearby. He noticed strange noises traveling with the wind. It was music. The grey stallion followed the sound. He soon spotted a huge, shady silhouette under the other end of the bridge. The âm nhạc came from there. T-Sky furrowed a brow. He was confused. He gazed at that dainty, yet massive figure.
Suddenly, the engine came to life. The body of the car winced a little. And so did the grey earth pony. The car slowly rolled ahead and took a left turn. To the road. T-Sky followed it with his eyes, not realizing he’s standing in the middle of the road. The car stopped about 100 feet away. Now that Christine came out to the light, the stallion recognized her.
“It can't be!” he gasped.
The Plymouth idled in the distance patiently. Puffs of dark purple smoke came from the exhaust. The radio was still on. It was loud. It played “Going Down” bởi G3.
“Lyra?” T-Sky called out nervously. “Is that you? bạn ain’t mad, are you?”
At that moment, the headlights turned on and Christine launched at the earth ngựa con, ngựa, pony with jarring rear tires. T-Sky managed to jump away from her, but the Fury turned around quickly. Her rear swings because of the sudden change in pressure.
The stallion had a một giây to get up. He started to run as fast as he could. Christine accelerated slowly. She liked to play. T-Sky saw the vòng tròn of light behind him getting bigger and bigger. The car slowly approached the stallion. There were only a few feet between them. Christine floored it. She accelerated up to 60 miles/hour. In the last moment, T-Sky jumped away again.
But this time, like if she would knew what the stallion was going to do, the Plymouth turned right a little. It was enough. Her front bumper got Twilight Sky’s hind leg. It torn out some flesh. There was a concrete wall, separating the two sides of the road. Christine crashed into it, but the stallion managed to avoid her once again. He felt something warm. When he looked at his hind leg, he realized he was injured. He couldn’t run anymore, but he limped away. He thought he was safe.
Christine could not get the earth ngựa con, ngựa, pony this way. The right side of the front was deformed. The headlights broke, the mui xe hogged and the grille was damaged as well. Yet, she backed away from the tường as far as she could. The engine revved up several times. T-Sky heard it at the other side of the tường and tried to quicken the pace.
The shift leveled to “D” and the rear tires scratched the ground as Christine stormed out. She quickly reached 70 miles/hour and broke through the solid concrete wall. The crash lifted up the front of the car and she landed at the other side, sending thousands of sparks in the air.
Now she was thêm damaged than before. The mui xe came off; the windshield was broken, such as three out of the four headlights. Even the roof had dents in it. The grille was still like an everlasting, metallic grin.
T-Sky was desperate to reach the buildings nearby. A bunch of warehouses. He hoped he could find shelter there. His jaw dropped in horror as he looked back and saw the devilish apparition still chasing after him. He was limping as fast as he could. There was a fence in front of him. The grey earth ngựa con, ngựa, pony moaned in pain and tried to climb over it. His injured leg was giving him a hard time. His face distorted every time he put weight on it. But he knew he had no choice. When he was on the top, he glanced back. Christine was already there.
T-Sky jumped down. He rolled up in a ball in extreme anguish, because he landed on his wounded leg. But, he heard the rattle of the engine. His instincts and the adrenalin helped him get up and head toward the nearest warehouse. Christine accelerated and simply broke through the fence, having Twilight Sky at her sight once more. She accelerated being sure she’ll succeed this time. But the stallion, took a sudden left turn into an alley. The Fury stopped, sending a đám mây of dust in the air. The shift clicked into “R” and Christine backed up a bit. She turned into the alley as well, but this gave a chance to the grey pony.
He nearly reached the other end. The Plymouth launched at him once thêm with screaming tires, crashing into the walls many times, but not losing T-Sky from the vòng tròn of her last functioning headlight.
Surprisingly, T-Sky turned around and limped toward Christine. She reached 75 miles/hour again and was ready to end it. But the tricky stallion had one last stunt.
He rolled into another passage between two buildings. The Fury backed up again, but soon found out the passage is not wide enough for her to fit.
Twilight Sky also realized that the huge door at the other end of the passage is sealed. He locked his eyes on Christine. Smoke and a certain lavender smell began to fill the air. The engine was damaged, the mufflers came off when she broke through the fence and the rattle of the V8 was very loud and eerie. The ngựa con, ngựa, pony and the car stared each other down for several minutes.
“So what now, bạn monster?” T-Sky huffed.
The engine revved up once again. The metal body of Christine pressed against the brick wall. Suddenly, the right side of the front came apart completely, and the Plymouth slid into the passage a little.
“No…” the grey stallion gasped in shock.
The engine reached the highest levels of its rev, the rear tires screamed as they struggled against the walls, sending a massive, white đám mây of smoke into the air. The body deformed again and the left door was torn apart bởi the pressure. Christine got closer to the pony.
“No! Impossible!!!” T-Sky screamed in horror.
Christine’s engine rattled and growled, like a mad dog. The body deformed even thêm and the car almost got through. To intensify his shock and fear, T-Sky could swear he heard a feminine voice in her head screaming:
THERE’S NO ESCAPE!!!
The last functioning headlight broke before Christine eventually reached the grey earth pony. They were in the dark. The last thing Twilight Sky heard was the boisterous rampage of Christine's V8 engine...
