Help settle a fight?

my friend and I have a bit of a fight. She wants me to call a guy who lives in NYC (I live on long island) THat I like. But I have not seen in him in almost a năm (in 5 days is one full year) But I don't know if I should call him I mean it won't be the same right? so what do bạn think?
