Should I forgive my friend?

I have one problem.
Me and my friend met boy. He was older than us, and he live abroad - so far away from us.
Me and my friend talking about him - everytime she told she dont like him, and she dont tình yêu him.
I told her, that he is nice and handsome, and maybe i falled in tình yêu with him. She was still saying that she dont like him.
One ngày we call to him. Im better in english than my friend, so she didn't talk with him - she just dont understad what he say.
Someday when he chatting with this boy, she let him choose one of us - me hoặc my friend. He want me.
He told he dont care of my friend, that im important for him. He saying really much about it, but he was just dumb, because he forgot about me and my friend now.
My friend was so angry... and jealous. And she did something really, really not fair - she lied that she was in tình yêu with him and im so stupid that i want to be his girlfriend, because she tình yêu him. But in the morning of this day, when he choose me, she was saying that she dont like him.
She was really nasty, and she did it because of jealous. Always she have what she want, her mother is rich, and she is pretty - many boys want to be her boyfriend.

And now, im not sure - should i forgive it for my friend? Im naive, and im going to do this, because i think forgiving is important part of my life.
