Why does everything want to hurt Zim?

(I own NOTHING)

Zim sat in the back of the class watching the time tick by. The end of school was fast approaching, the time that Zim dreaded the most. He ran his fingers through his wig. IT now reached his shoulders and mostly fell into his eyes.

When the bell rang Zim grabbed his bag and ran out of the room. He was hoping to get a head start. Zim was trying so hard to avoid getting beat up. He was sick of limping home everyday. He could not take the stupid planet earth anymore. He wished more then anything that he could just leave, go anywhere else. Go to a place where a young Irken Invader would not get beat up everyday.

Zim was so deep in his thoughts he did not hear footsteps behind him. He yelped when he felt someone grab him by the back of the collar.

"Hello Zim," a male voice whispered in his ear. Zim felt his heart sink. "Or should I say hello freak." The boy shoved Zim to the ground and as if on cue the bullies' lackeys laughed. The bully punched Zim in the face. "Your such a freak Zim. You know I don't know if you're an alien or not but I do know you're a freak." Zim struggled to not let tears fall from his eyes onto the pavement below him.

"Why Dib?" he whispered. "Why must you hurt me so?"

"Because of the pain you used to cause me," Dib replied. "Everyone used to call ME the freak and they used to beat ME up but not anymore. Not ever since I started studying real science. But now I have to make you feel the pain you caused me." Dib kicked Zim in the ribs. Dib hit Zim a couple of more times. He looked down at the Irken. "You are pathetic." With that Dib spit on Zim and walked off.

Zim pulled himself up of the ground and slowly walked home. The base had no power since the Tallest cut it off, so Zim lived in a dark home. Zim slowly walked inside and looked at his base. He walked over to the couch. Lying there was Gir, his eyes were dark, and the robot has been shut down years ago. Zim collected the dead robot in his arms and sat down. Zim now let the tears fall freely from his large red eyes. Zim held the lifeless Gir close and whispered, "Why does everything want to hurt Zim?"
