His contract wasn't renewed, I'm pretty sure he got fired! I think the show will be somewhat lacking without his character, but I don't think that he WILL come back, because of all the tension he caused. I don't agree with any of the things he said (esp. when he said him getting fired was a race issue, I mean, c'mon, take some responsibility for your actions!!!) but I do think that he played the character well and that something will be missing without Burke.
