It wasn’t an easy decision. She truly wanted to give her kids the best life possible, but she was sick of his lying, and didn’t want to keep her kids locked in the sham of the ‘perfect family’ act she always put on.

If he wanted other women, he could have them. And she wouldn’t even dream of trying to cut him out of the kids lives. Still silence. He trudged up the stairs to his kids rooms.

“Holly? Parker?”

Nothing. Then he checked the master bedroom.

“Blair?” He ventured again.

There was something on their bed. Was it a letter? He walked over to it, picked it up and sat down on the silk comforter on their perfectly made bed. On the front was his name, written in her perfect cursive. He tore it open wildly, scared at what it might say.

Dear Charles,
I’m sorry that it has to come to this, but I just can’t live this lie anymore. I don’t want your money, all I ask for is full custody of the children because it’s not fair for them to live with you, considering your travel schedule for work. You’ve been the best father any mother could wish for, for her children and bạn may see them anytime bạn would like. My only other request is that we may reside in the penthouse, where the children have grown up. My god, she was serious.

He felt a couple tears escape as he came to this realization. But he couldn’t help feel that Blair still loved him and since he still loved her, maybe they could still salvage this union. But first he had to find her and his kids.

“Hello?” asked a familiar voice.
