What seems to be the problem with the rating system anyway?

The Papa question and this one is different , but the problem is , I'd like to have the right to disable the ratings like on youtube when I post a video . I posted a link to a friends web comic and someone gave it a one star rating because it had to do with War and the Army and it had to many guns in it (it a comic about G.I.Joe , it's going to have guns in it) and I was offended buy this because it was a stupid rating on they're part . It would be nice to have the right to disable ratings because of people with dumb opinions .

Oh, I thought you meant "Should ratings be disabled for all videos, links, etc.".

you shouldn't take it personal. If you think you may get offended by ratings or comments then don't post it because everyone has their own opinion here and they're allowed to.

Yes and what about youtube ? It should also be the right of people to disable the rating's for links , video's , and pictures if they just want to share with people and that's it . Sometimes people like to share for the fun of it .

i think the whole idea of fanpop IS to interact and give/recieve opinions and information. if you dont like that you could get a private homepage and post your vids there.

Ratings are here for a reason.
