Yes, it does! Only a troll would ever choose a wrong answer on purpose on quizzes and there is definitely something wrong with the people who always vote wrong on polls.

1. Polls are subjective, they measure opinions, so technically there is no wrong answer to a poll, only an answer you personally disagree with. If there is an obviously incorrect answer, it shouldn't be a poll.

2. I doubt people troll by selecting the wrong answer in a pop quiz. It's more likely that they accidentally click the wrong answer - this has happened to me a few times, the screen moving - or that they just don't know the right answer!

Some people do it to be humors no problem with a harmless joke! Plus it's their quiz score, it shouldn't matter. Also unless they say so, how can you say for sure that it was on purpose.

As flicker mentioned it could be a mis-click too or they read the question wrong. I've accidentally hit the wrong answer on mobile before. I've also read questions like "which one is NOT true" as "which one is true" and realized last minute that it said 'NOT'.

Poll is based from your own value and perspective so nobody are right or wrong to picks any. On the quizzes people choose the wrong answer as they have no idea about the right answer I guess.

Superboy I think you even don't understand how this site work seriously.

Lmao I totally didn't realize this mentioned polls too. There's no such thing as a wrong answer on a poll! Polls are about opinions. Opinions are subjective, there is no right or wrong. That's like asking 'blue or red' and then saying anyone who chose red is wrong and getting mad over that. People don't have to agree with you all the time.

Am I the only one who actually got this question right? This question was all about people who deliberately choose the wrong answer, not by accident. That's trolling in my book. Also, there are some polls when there simply cannot be the wrong answer! For instance, there is a poll with a question are Catholics Christians & majority of fans has voted NO. How can anyone say that Catholics are not Christians?! I'm married to one & they are all Christians just like me. There is a lot of polls where only one answer would be expected, yet most fans choose quite the opposite. Why would for instance any gay man on this planet ever want to be a friend with a homophobe who actually hates every single gay man, including his so called friend?? Then again, this poll results only prove Superboy is right 'cause this is the case of a poll with a wrong result! There should be majority of votes for option Yes. And yes, it does bother me when some people vote all wrong on polls. I'm not talking about those trivial polls, such as do you prefer cats or dogs, I'm talking about much more serious matter here, like those polls already mentioned. In fact, I'm not so sure YOU know how this website works. Sometimes the results of certain polls make me cry, others make me sad, or angry, sometimes they can even make me sick (I mean literally sick, when I see some of the poll results!). I don't think this poll feature on Fanpop really helps anybody to find out what the fans actually think. Only a small group of fans answer the polls anyway, 10 to 25 people top. There are thousands of fans who never answer any poll, so what I'm saying is even if let's say 20 fans vote on a poll, what about all those thousands who don't?! I just don't think the poll results are much representative, that's all. In same cases, the results are not only unexpected (like in this poll for instance!), but sometimes even absurd. Then again, there are some polls which make no sense to anybody, including me. I think Fanpop would be much better without the polls. They can only give you a headache, or a migrene! That's why I don't like polls myself that much. Sometimes I make a new poll, but tbh I don't really want to know everything about my fellow fans. For Heaven's sake, some fans can't even honestly answer a simple question like these: What are you: a girl or a boy, or, Which continent do you come from?! 1 yr on Fanpop & all those polls & I still don't know what personal pronoun should I use when addressing certain fans from my own fanlist!! Why such mystery? Since when is somebody's gender, or a continent as a location, become a top secret?? I just don't get it! I really don't get it!

Before I get into this I want you to know that I don't mean you any disrespect or ill-will. I want to simply answer some of your questions and discuss with you.

You are not the only person who got this right. It is a subjective question. The context superboy gave us indicated that people who simply disagreed with him were wrong. Disagreeing with him isn't picking the wrong answer. Disagreeing with anyone isn't picking the wrong answer. I have a very strong feeling that he's referring to things like what happened here; link Most people voted no and he believes that, that's the wrong answer. Subjectively, to him it may be wrong. Objectively it isn't wrong.
There's also the light hearted joking aspect. Some times people will add or pick a silly answer on a poll just for fun. It isn't trolling, it's just trying to have a laugh. This is especially true for the random club. Picking the 'wrong' answer isn't automatically trolling. Because who gets to decide what the right answer is? I can just as easily say that you picked the wrong answer on this poll and then insist that you're trolling. Does that sound fair? Probably not.

As for the Christian/Catholic one I disagree with picking no, I'm a Catholic Christian. However I've come across many sources to argue for both sides. Frankly more of them say that Catholics aren't Christian. I don't know if I agree with it, I'd have to do more research. But I would say that the issue isn't as clear cut as one might think. Hence why there's a debate about it. Any topic that can be debated is a subjective concept and can't be proven factually right or wrong. Statements like the 'Oprah should be president' cannot be proven true nor false whereas something like 'the earth is flat' can be.

There is a lot of polls where only one answer would be expected, yet most fans choose quite the opposite.
I also have to disagree with this. What may seem like the obvious choice to you is not the obvious choice to some. Again I go back to the Oprah question, clearly there are more people who would tell you that 'no' is the expected answer. Does that make them correct? No, it doesn't. No more that it makes you correct to say 'yes' is the expected answer.
Sure there are exceptions; if you ask a question like 'is murdering people for sexual orientation okay'. Most people with a ticking moral compass would vote, 'no, it's not'. But questions about who should be the president or whether or not the metric system should be adopted are not so clean cut.

"Why would for instance any gay man on this planet ever want to be a friend with a homophobe who actually hates every single gay man?" That's a good question. Put up the poll and hear out the people who say they would. Keep an open mind, that's what the polls and debates are for. Maybe that person was a very close friend who was very kind to them before they came out of the closet and they'd like to keep that friendship. Maybe it's as simple as just wanting peace; something along the lines of 'why can't we all just get along'. Like I said, I'm not sure. You'd have to ask and instead of shooting them down and saying they're wrong, hear 'em out. That's what a good debate is for.

Then again, this poll results only prove Superboy is right 'cause this is the case of a poll with a wrong result! Again, this is not true. Not at all. This is what I meant when I said it's not trolling to pick 'the wrong' answer. Disagreeing with what one person thinks is correct is not trolling! As I said above I can just as easily tell you that your vote on the Oprah question is the wrong one and I'd have about 3 or 4 people to back me on it. The majority would say that you are wrong. But I won't do that because your opinion is as valid as mine. The reason that logic doesn't quite work is because think about it this way. A person puts up a poll asking 'Do you like Taylor Swift's Shake It Off'? Let's say that you don't. But Shake It Off is a mainstream song. People tend to like it so 'yes' will be the winning option. Are they wrong for liking the song? No they aren't. And are you wrong for disliking it? No. People have different tastes and such holds true for questions about who should be the next president. No one person gets to decide what the right or wrong answer is on a question like that.

I'm talking about much more serious matter here
This is why debating exists. That's why liberal and conservative exist. Why democrat and republican exist. Because both sides keep insisting that their way is the only right way instead of considering that maybe the other side has some fair points to. The other reason such parties exist is because most of the topics they go head to head on are subjective and cannot be proven completely wrong one way or another. The exceptions would be things like, 'vaccines cause autism' that have actual scientific facts to dispute it. Things like whether or not it is okay to be gay cannot be backed by science. Though I heavily support gay rights, there are unfortunately people who disagree and a science experiment can't support either side of the debate. You have to remember that these people think that you're vote is the wrong one and are just as hard-pressed on the issue. If that makes sense.

I don't think this poll feature on Fanpop really helps anybody to find out what the fans actually think.
Here's another thing to keep in mind. This site was created for shows/books/tv. It's literally a site for fan-culture and pop culture. It wasn't meant to be a debating platform. It wasn't meant to be political. It has always been more about discussing shows and characters. Polls like 'who is your favorite character', 'which season was your favorite' are what the polls were designed for. People just started using them in a political manner. No poll is going to completely show the correct results because there's a chance of rigging and the like. And the site itself isn't popular. You're right; only a handful vote and even less comment. That's just how it is on this site because it doesn't get a lot of traffic. If traffic is what you want, you're best off going to a different site. Hell if you want political discussion you're best off going elsewhere because, by all means, that's not what this site is technically for. People just started using it that way and there's nothing wrong with that. The 'thousands of fans who never vote' are old, inactive users. They don't come here anymore but their accounts are still here. There aren't as many fans on this site as it appears. They are representative of the few that are still here.

Fanpop's polling feature is one of it's most used ones. It's very important to the site because that's where a lot of the activity is. But other features are just as important. This site is kinda known for its polls. To get rid of it would get rid of many users. I would leave if the polls were gone. If you don't like them, don't use them

For Heaven's sake, some fans can't even honestly answer a simple question like these: What are you: a girl or a boy, or, Which continent do you come from?!
You are not entitled to know anyone's personal information!!! If someone is uncomfortable telling you where they are from they don't have to! There is a user who went around sending creepy messages to women on this site. Of course some people would be uncomfortable stating gender. I remember that there was one question where superboy was trying to get people to say their penis sizes. That is not something people are going to be willing to share. That is [i]very[i] personal and he had no right to get mad when people wouldn't share some so sexual and so personal. No one is entitled to know anyone else's personal info.
It's a mystery because come people are more cautious than others. Some people feel safer that way. which is completely fair.

Bottom line is that you can't just tell people what to do. I don't have a problem with you nor superboy but it seems like you two don't even like it here. And to me it doesn't make sense that you two stay if you're just going to talk about how much you don't like it.

Polls are asking for opinions, not factual answers, so there's no correct answer. Even in cases like "is this character (the character for whom the club is for) your favourite in the fandom?", answering no is still a valid answer because you can like the character while preferring another. Someone who disagrees with your opinion isn't wrong.

I'm pretty certain that the majority of people who get quiz questions wrong do so because they don't actually know the answer. Others might misunderstand the question, or accidentally click the wrong option. The idea that people troll by deliberately getting quizzes wrong seems pretty bizarre to me. Isn't trolling more like posting controversial or argumentative comments in clubs where you know that'll offend most of the members?
