Not because I don't like the traditionally feminine ones, because I usually do. (With the exception of Aurora, of course.) I just think we're still waiting for a girl power princess that doesn't end with a love story. I really hope 'Brave' doesn't feature a love story.

I actually like girls who are consider to be "damsel in distres" and honestly i don't know why everyone dislike them what i'm trying to say is that some people are just a little bit more sensitive and not that much strong and that's because that element is part of their personality people! Also i remember one time someone saying that dislike Belle because she wasn't able to kill those wolves! I MEAN REALLY?! If she killed them i think it would be very ridilous!

Can't decide really. I like the traditional ones 'cause that's why I love fairy tales. But I also wan't girl power 'cause that's Disney's specialty.

I don't dislike the damsels in distress. I like most of them. I just don't think it would be considered much of a step forward, for Disney or for society as a whole, for Disney to make another one. It's one thing to make them for the time period they were made in. Aurora was the last princess released before the Women's Liberation in the 1960-70s, so she's appropriate for her time period. But if Disney made another one in 2011, where most women do work and are mostly self sufficient and most of them WANT love, but are also worrying about other things, I just don't think it would make sense. Part of the issue with making a heroine is trying to make her relatable, and I think that's why so many people like Rapunzel. She's very relatable, and if Disney made another 'damsel' heroine, the generation of people they're appealing to wouldn't relate to it. That's just my take.

I totally agree with what phantomrose89 said.It wouldn't make sense if disney would make a traditionally feminine character in 2011 because many females would have a bad reaction about it.

ya know, disney's made so many princesses with girl power over the last decades, I would like to see another traditional princess for a change.

I would like to see a traditional princess who learns to be more independent as the story evolves, like Giselle. Traditionally feminine??? You people seem to forget that the majority of what was "traditionally feminine" was just a way of keeping women inferior and oppressed. O_o

Disney should do something like Swan Lake or the 12 danicing princesses.

To go out with a bang!

I think if the last Princess is "traditional" then it would sum up exactly what a lot of people hate about the Disney Princesses. Sad, but true.

I'd want a princess who is really pretty and girly and feminine, but who can kick some serious ass if needed.

I don't look up to the DP as role models, they are pure entertainment for me and some times a worthy discussion, it makes my blood boil when people try to bring fiction into reality. I like more old fashioned princess (even though Ariel is my fave). Does that mean I think women are weak or should stay in a subservient role? no.

Mainly due ti the fact that Disney doesn't always handle the girl power/female liberation concept in an organic manner therefore those kinds of storylines can come off as obnoxious with feminist messages overloading the entire film like it happened with Brave and PaTF. Still like both movies, however, I really wouldn't want the next Princess movie to be like on of those. I wish Disney focused more on emotional strength and development of their heroines while not robbing the of their femininity.

A mix of both. A woman with "girl power" while still being a "lady".
