She really only saved Eric and did her little "fight" with Ursula, and compared to Mulan and Pocahontas, it's not very heroic.

Ariel is slightly more heroic than Pocahontas in my opinion. Ariel does more heroics through out the whole film. Pocahontas only does two heroics through out the film Save John Smith and stopped a war.

Poca's actions are more heroic and meaningful. (shrugs) Stopping a war is pretty huge.

Eric actually ends up defeating Ursula, not Ariel. She saves him, but he saves the day, ultimately.
