Unfortunately, Merida takes last place in this year’s Disney Princess countdown. While no one truly denied she developed, many found it poorly done. Some people loved her flaws, bravery, how well she developed, and her tomboyish, daring personality. Others hated the archetype she represents, and found her poorly developed and unoriginal. Users also disliked the movie itself, causing their opinions on Merida herself to be not so great. Overall, Merida has her fans, but the overwhelming amount of people who had her in their bottom 3, cause her to place very low.

But I hate that she's rude, ungrateful, bratty, a middle finger to the Disney Princesses, starts off as (and was marketed) as a badass that doesn't need saving but later become a faux action girl that constantly needs to be saved, tried to change her mother, is inconsiderate, is okay with war, calls her mom a beast, ruins her mom's tapestry, and đã đưa ý kiến she'd rather die than be like her mom.
