Jin Kisaragi (left) and Tsubaki Yayoi (right) from BlazBlue: Alter Memory. A lot of people hated Jin for treating Noel like crap, while Tsubaki gets hated for being too emotional.

Masao from Shiki. The majority of characters in any fandom at least get some love, but Masao seems to be that one character that everyone unanimously agrees to hate. Personally, I liked him from the very beginning. I related to him a lot actually and I took pity on him.

Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. People get on his case for being "whiny" when really I think he's just realistic. That's what I enjoy about his character, the amount of flaws he has. And I really do feel sorry for him, considering all that he's had to deal with.

This guy gets a crazy amount of hate but I couldn't care less xD

He's a great character. Awesome character development, kept the story going and kept it interesting (because I mean come on...when he wasn't in the hiển thị for some arcs the story was on the dull side).

I like how he's not a black and white good guy, hoặc bad guy. He's an interesting character who is skilled yet flawed. Strong yet broken. All qualities which to me make a compelling character.

Claude Faustus from Black Butler

Most of the những người hâm mộ hate him because he's the cold, emotionless antagonist, but honestly that's what I like about him. His personality makes for a great villain and it holds true to the nature of demons.
