Even though the movie didn't meet up to the books I liked it. It was entertaining so I felt it did its purpose. But it was no where near as good as the books.
To be honest, I really didn't give it a chance. I got the DVD awhile ago and I watched the first 15 minutes of it and I didn't really feel like watching the rest? My opinion is skewed though since I generally do not like movies.
The movie was terrible, compared to the books. It would have been better if they hadn't tried to squish three books into one movie. And I don't think they were real faithful to the books. I will say, I did like the actors they picked to play the Baudelaires.
i watched the movie before reading the books. i liked the movie a lot better, to be honest. the books were very good, but they weren't written very well (but that is just my opinion). I felt that the reason they changed so much for the movie was because the books just didn't have enough in them. but i have to say that both the movie and the books are great!!!
i watched the movie before reading the books, and i loved it, i liked the movie a bit better than the books, the books are great, they're my second favorite series next to harry potter
Personally, I really enjoyed the movie. The actors did a really great job, Jim Carrey did a pretty good job playing Count Olaf, but he didn't nail it 100%, and that's what got me to read the books.
It didn't really fallow the books, but I think the actors really did a great job as their characters, and I LOVED Jim Carry as Olaf, and also Emily Browning s Violet, I thought they all did a wonderful job over all :)
But the movie was great and I felt they got the gist across so, yes :)
O right, the book run circles around the film!
