Elitists who insist that you can't like a certain genre if you like a *insert genre*. Or that you're not a true fan of a certain genre if you like many genres.

Musical snobs who insist that only certain types of vocals can be good; "only smooth clean & clear vocals are good--people with harsh guttural vocals have no talent and sound bad" or the reverse.

This one pisses me off.

All of them actually. Music is Art and Art is boundless. In the end, everything comes down to personal preference. Having an opinion is fine and all but forcing your own point of view and standards to everyone else as well is unacceptable !!!!

@coke Same tho. Like have these people seen a DAW? They're so complex and you really have to know your stuff to use them, much less create a catchy and noteworthy beat.

@Leftris Exactly, why limit one's self. And why hate on someone for something they enjoy. As you said; a person can feel free to like what he or she likes, but let other people do the same and don't try to make them feel inferior for liking or disliking something.

I also hate it when people insult you or talk down to you because you've never heard of a certain singer or band. There's countless singers and bands, how is one supposed to keep tabs on them all?

I have a preference for anything loud and thrashy, but I listen to it all. If it has soul, it has soul, it doesn't matter how the artist decides to let it all out. I can listen to Godsmack one moment, Snoop Dogg the next, and then joy division right after

Honestly... I'm not bothered by any of these. They're dumb comments for sure but I don't get bothered by them.
