Thiên chúa giáo Câu Hỏi

Do bạn hate gays and lesbians?

I don't. I believe that they are people, and God loves all his children. I support gay and lesbian rights, and I feel that they should be respected, whether the things they do agree with our religion hoặc not. I feel that, in the words of a lesbian in a wheelchair who was assaulted bởi a Christian in a mob, "anybody who says, 'God hates' is not a true Christian."

Regardless of one's opinion on the issues, these are people. They are not disgusting hoặc evil hoặc second-class citizens, they are human beings, and being gay is just a part of who they are, but not all of who they are. The câu hỏi was not asking about your moral stance on the issue of homosexuality, it was asking if bạn hated them. The answer of the kind of Christians I admire would be, "Regardless of how I feel about homosexuality, I do not hate gay people." Period.

Also, be careful how bạn phrase your opinions. I know several people who irritatingly says, "I don't hate Christians, but I find their beliefs disgusting and naive." Wouldn't that offend you? It's called a veiled insult. bạn may not hate them, but calling them "creepy," "gross" hoặc even "wrong" can come off as very hurtful to others đọc your comments. Just think about that when bạn share your opinions.

So I presume bạn would not be offended if someone politely told bạn that your Christian beliefs were wrong, then, and urged bạn to "educate" yourself? I am not saying this to you, I am simply saying that if bạn are allowed to say it to someone else, then they are allowed to say it to bạn as well. Frankly, I don't believe that "wrong" is the appropriate term to use when discussing beliefs, but that's because I find the experience subjective and not an issue of "right" hoặc "wrong."

I believe homosexuality is a sin. I do not hate them. I have coworkers and aquaintances who happen to live a gay life style. We just agree to disagree. As far as gay rights, I am against gay marriage just because of the defintion of marriage. However, I believe that they deserve the same rights and protection under the law.
To add, I would be against an unmarried hetrosexual couple enjoying the same rights/privliges as a married couple. This may sound old fashoined, but sex outside of marriage is still considered sin. Just as I can tình yêu and respect such a couple, so can I tình yêu those involved in other sin.
While I do not approve of the lifestyle, I think homosexuals are stereotyped because of a small group evil people who happen to be gay. "Those who break the law should be punished the same as a straight person." People are individuals, and should be treated as such.
I share the truth in love. It is thier choice to accept hoặc reject. Scripture tells us that Christians who do not tình yêu will have to give an account at the judgment. Just as we all will be judge for every thought hoặc action. Christians are also people deserving of judgement. It is only bởi the love, grace and mercy of God that Christ took our punishment on the cross. It is the vượt qua, cross that makes possible forgiveness.

My uncle who died last năm was gay (but he đã đưa ý kiến he chose to be that way). Five of my Những người bạn are bisexual, even my mom. I have a friend who is an atheist. But, guess what? There's nothing wrong with being friends/loving them. I can encourage them to change, tell them about Christ, pray for them, but ultimately, they have to make the decision in their lives (with The Lord's guidance), not me.

Being hateful to someone who is homosexual is ignorant IMO. U can disagree with it, thus sticking to Who u believe in, but to hate someone ? That's dimwitted, honestly.

I do not hate them. I support them and support their rights. I happen to be one of the Christians who do believe with them.

Certain things in the Bible is obsolete. Like playing with a pigskin was wrong and women had no rights then as well. IF a person wants to be a homophobe then I guess they also agree with women not having rights as well. If you're going to follow the Bible and pick off bits and pieces to use against other people because bạn disagree with their opinions bạn should also follow everything in it if you're going to take it literally. I am a liberal Christian. I am NOT a conservative one bởi any means. I honestly think conservative Christians are too close-minded about the world around them. Also people use the Bible and twisted it around since it's creation. We don't even know exactly what God meant since the Bible can be understood in different ways.

I honestly despise people who are homophobes. I really do. I understand if a person disagrees but that person has no right to be a complete jerk to someone else without due reason. So I am on the side of the LGBT community. i am not on the homophobe's side.

First of all, as for my feelings towards them - to answer your question, yes. Some of the worst intolerance I've experienced has been from homosexuals hoặc those who support it. I've noticed they have a "ACCEPT IT hoặc ELSE!" mentality. Even if I had no bad experiences - look at the lesbian mayor in Houston outlawing a priests' right to preach what the Bible says of homosexuality; look at the numerous businesses fined and harassed bởi pro-lgbt groups for not catering to gay weddings, gay couple photography, etc.; look at the pro-lgtb curriculum that was written bởi a pedophile (ben levin is one of them, aimed at sexualizing children K-12). Teaching children as young as 5 that they might not be the gender they think they are...now that is messed up. No other demographic has done that. If they can close down entire streets just to have their very own pride parades, displaying nude obscene acts where the public and children can see, attacking those who peacefully protest, then they don't have it as bad as they like to say they do. Simply put - the pro-gay movement is not about tolerance at all, the way it attacks democratic rights and freedoms so often.
If bạn were to research one of the contributors of the gay movement - John Money (deranged pedophile, "sexologist") - bạn would see that that movement has a very disturbing background.

Now, đọc many of the các bình luận here, this needs to be cleared up: the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin. Now, God would forgive a gay person if they repented and truly aimed to change their ways - there are examples I've read about of ex-gay people. It's not about the person - it's about their choice to engage in that lustful behaviour, an unnatural one at that (anal sex causes colon cancer, plus the anus is not made for penetration). God doesn't want to see his creation diễn xuất such a way. Let's not forget that this is a topic where both religion and science agree - that before the birth control industry existed, sex was originally designed to be for reproduction purposes only. People seemed to have forgot about that in this sex-obsessed society.

I've noticed a lot of gần đây arguments enter the Christian vòng tròn such as "anybody who doesn't accept ___ is not a true Christian" (no true scotsman fallacy) aimed to ostracize people who have differing opinions/beliefs from them. It's okay to not accept something - that's part of being a diverse and accepting society right? Freedom of speech and thought should not cease to apply to this topic. It's not a crime to not accept homosexuality, nor should it ever be.

well, this is what i know from what i discuss at length at my youth retreat. it does have to do with religion. it says in the bible how 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do bạn not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." BUT later says 1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of bạn were. But bạn were washed, bạn were sanctified, bạn were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and bởi the Spirit of our God." so the subject of the matter bởi itself it not very clear.. another verse that says "Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
therefore, depending on which version of the bible bạn use hoặc your denomination and how bạn interpret it it could go many ways. my feeling is that i dont particularly think that homosexuality is right nor do i think it is wrong. i dont have much of a stance on this matter but one this is clear to me, i do not believe that just because someone is of that nature should be persecuted because of such.. bạn are right on the point that though god does not in particular like this way of life, he still loves his children and he does not wish for bạn to hate those who have sinned.

^The problem with basing one's Christian principles off Leviticus though is that most of the many things it forbids are just not heeded to any longer. It bans the eating of shellfish, it bans the wearing of mixed cloth (present in almost all modern clothing), it bans tattoos. To do these things but then condemn homosexuality as a sin is to pick and choose out of convenience, IMO. Jesus never once đã đưa ý kiến a word about homosexuality. Just a thought :)

Bigotry exists both inside and outside of religion for many messed up reasons...and I think there has been enough harm throughout centuries everywhere so we need not add to it.

Yes Jesus forgives His children. Remember, though: He does tình yêu us all, no matter what we do. But, there's responsibility with our choices. God loves homosexuals, but He's against any kind of sin, including homosexuality. When someone repents, it's got to be from the heart, and to truly turn away from the sin. I'm not going to generalize, but some homosexal individuals see nothing wrong with what they're doing, thus unrepentant. bạn can't just repent and di chuyển on in the same sin you're still committing. It's not about hate. It's about what God's Holy Word of Truth states. We can help homosexual individuals not just bởi praying for them, but loving them for who they are, Just like Jesus does, pray they'll have their hearts changed bởi CHRIST, reach out through listening, encouragement, testimony, and witnessing, but not condemning hoặc converting. It's the relationship always. LOVE😊

Whether someone goes to Hell hoặc not has to do with what their true intention is, from what I understand. If the person in câu hỏi truly wants to change, sincerely feels regret for the sins they've committed, then God forgives. If they truly make an effort to change themselves for the better, then they would go to Heaven. If someone befriends a gay hoặc lesbian, they may be subject to "you better accept my lifestyle choices hoặc else (insert shaming tactic hoặc insult here)" - don't fall for it.
