I never grew up with the older consoles of the 80s and 90s, and among those was the Super Nintendo. Not that I didn’t want one. Hell, when I saw games like Link to the Past, Mega Man X, and Castlevania IV, those were the kinds of things I would be happy to play. And I was able to get some SNES games off the Wii cửa hàng Channel before it died. One of those games being the RPG classic, Final fantaisie VI, hoặc three in America, because of localization stuff- Don’t think too much about it
Final fantaisie VI follows, well, a ton of characters. The mysterious girl Terra, the treasure hunter Locke, the general of the empires army Celes, and a whole lot of other characters as they rebel against the corrupt empire before doing what bạn always do in a Final fantaisie game, kill god. The game, being SNES, has a neat little pixel art, and while not using the SNES graphics to its fullest capabilities like say ngôi sao Fox, it still looks nice visually. I like the characters sprite art a lot and the enemy sprite art can be really cool sometimes, and makes each fight feel like a ton of fun. Speaking of which, the battle system in this game really adds to a lot. Each character has their own powers that make them unique in their own way. Locke can steal, Terra can transform into an enemy, the ninja Shadow can throw projectiles, Cyan the knight can use special attack moves. If I were to danh sách everybodies ability and how cool they were and how they work, it would take us a bit of time. And let’s talk about this games story. I thought it would be a generic RPG story when I first played it, but to my surprise, it ended up being real gripping, and pretty serious at times to, like Locke’s dead lover forcing him to be thêm respectful to women, hoặc the real kicker, Celes throwing herself from a cliff in an attempted suicide. This game pulls no punches with it’s story. Hell, the biggest thing about this game is the một giây half, which, spoilers for a twenty năm old game, the main villain, Kefka, ends up winning and achieving his goal. He becomes a god and as a result, the world is destroyed, half of the population is dead, and Kefka, for the fun of it, just destroys towns on a regular basis. It makes bạn want to go and fight him as soon as bạn can. And his final boss fight is probably one of the best in the series with how he goes through different phases, and his boss theme, Dancing Mad, is my yêu thích boss theme in the franchise. Yes, thêm than One Winged Angel. Fucking fight me!
Final fantaisie VI is a real classic among the series. It’s storytelling, characters, and just over all amount of time bạn can play it add to the amount of fun with the game. I can safely say that this is a game that doesn’t need to be remade like Final fantaisie VII. Final fantaisie VI is a timeless classic among the franchise.
