Oh boy, this is a classic gem I’ve been waiting to discuss… again… for the fourth time in a row now. It’s no secret that I tình yêu Platinum. Anarchy Reigns was the first Platinum game on this list, and the rest of them are only gonna get better from here. And let’s talk about their first game, and while not a financial success, still a classic on the Wii, Madworld.
Madworld follows angry biker Jack Cayman, as he and his trustworthy chainsaw arm, go through the crazed gameshow known as Death Watch in order to take out the competition and become the champion of Death Watch. The game is always in this hard cel-shaded black and white art style, with the only color in the entire game being hard crimson red from the blood of all of the enemies. The game is very simple. Go through a single level in the area, try to rack up as many points as the game desires, each level increasing in score. Achieve this score bởi doing flashy kills, like shoving thêm sharp objects into enemies before killing them hoặc throwing them into stage hazards. bạn get bonus points for killing a mini-boss in the level, like a giant bò đực, con bò, bull with a chainsaw hoặc a grim reaper on roller skates. After bạn reach the high score, bạn can reach the crazy boss fights in the game. It’s very simple, and I can see some people getting sick of it, but the levels change the pace enough for it to stay fresh. And man, does the game still have the classic Platinum charm, with all these insane combos, fun variety in the mini-games, and the witty writing, especially from the announcers. These two really make this game thêm fun, both of them being voiced bởi Greg Proops and John DiMaggio. Just hearing these two make sickening insults and fucked up jokes is great fun. And the soundtrack is so damn good. I can respect a good rap soundtrack if it sounds nice, and this soundtrack is fire, let me tell you.
It’s hard for me to say anything I haven’t already đã đưa ý kiến about this game. It’s just such a classic on the Wii and a great start to he legacy of Platinum. It’s not their best game, and trust me, that’s difficult to choose what their best is, but damn, it’s got that Platinum quality to it like any other game. I’d say we should get a sequel, but hell, we were lucky enough to get Anarchy Reigns.
