Seeing them together brought back memories I didn’t want to think about. I blinked as thoughts of my sweet Didyme rushed back into my mind. Edward, with one arm still curled protectively around the human girl, flashed his eyes over to my face. “Marcus,” she whispered softly, “you don’t have to leave.” My expression hardened.
