TWICE members were confused by "Signal" when they first heard the track.

Though it went on to be a hit, "Signal" wasn\'t exactly what TWICE expected. The girl group were guests on the May 30th broadcast of

SBS PowerFM\'s \'Choi Hwa Jung\'s Power Time\', and DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked what they personally thought of the song. Jungyeon responded, "We thought, \'What is this?\' He didn\'t tell us it was our title song and just sent us the track. We thought it wasn\'t our title track."

She continued, "It\'s different than our previous title songs, so we thought, \'What is this?\' When we heard it was our title track, it was just like, \'I see.\'"

Chaeyoung commented, "I think we all worried about it. It was something new, so we wondered whether it was right for us. That\'s why we worked hard preparing." Jihyo added, "It was the same with \'Cheer Up\'."

What was your reaction to "Signal" when you first heard it?

I didn\'t like it at first but after watching it like ten times it kind of grew on me lol. I liked their comeback stage also, it helped.

Like it or hate it, you gotta admit Signal is a bold choice when it comes to lines. TWICE is one of the rare groups that i know that lets the sub-vocalists(Sana/Tyuzu) take the chorus, while the dancers gets to rap(Momo/Mina). Who can say they got the chance to do that? There are more seniors groups out there that wish they had the opportunity to do something different (AOA, Sistar,)

better than Knock Knock for sure in my opinion... not sure it is better than TT...I know I liked the TT video better than Signal, but I like the Stage better for Signal over TT.

I love Twice and all their other songs, but Signal is just bad. Literally talking for the first 30 seconds, then sing talking for another 30 seconds, before it FINALLY gets to a melody. Like, no. Please don\'t let JYP write any more of their songs.

It\'s actually my favourite Twice song to date. Shows how much taste differ.

It visually give\'s me the quirky vibe of these aliens 

but Signal sounds too flat for me, not really "bright" and fresh.
