Biên niên sử Narnia Câu Hỏi

First question: What does Aslan mean? (read description)

I know in several books, Aslan is known for saying: "No one can know what WOULD HAVE happened."
Yeah, okay, I got that, I respect that. But...
In the Magician's Nephew, Aslan tells Digory what would have happened if he had taken the trái cây for himself.
This totally threw me off. Please help me!

Hmmm...that is a good question. I'm not sure if there is a definite answer to it, but this is how I personally see it.

No one is ever told what would have happened, and no one is told any story but their own. That's a given. HOWEVER, if bạn think about it, Aslan wasn't so much telling Digory what would have happened as much as He was explaining how the trái cây works. How bạn can "find your heart's desire, and find despair" (in other words, "Be careful what bạn wish for!") He told Digory what would have happened because it was necessary for him to understand and learn from it.

But in other instances, like Aravis wondering about the servant girl (in HHB), hoặc Lucy wondering about what might have happened had she gone to Aslan at once and left her siblings behind (in PC), it wasn't so important. Whether she knew hoặc didn't know wouldn't matter hoặc make things any better.

There are also two other factors to keep in mind: One, Aslan isn't a tame Lion. *wink* Two, Aslan is a wonderful but fictional "supposal" of Jesus created bởi a wonderful but imperfect human being named C. S. Lewis, who probably didn't obsess over his sách nearly as much as us Narniacs do. :P There's bound to be a few mistakes hoặc plot hiccups here and there.

That's my theory, anyway. Hope it helped! :-)

Excuse me, but would it hurt to read the mô tả BEFORE answering? Because obviously bạn didn't.

I think that aslan would have told Diggory because it was sort of a warning not telling what would have happened. Because if aslan didn't tell him he would have eaten it but he wouldn't have known the consequences. In other cases there was two endings. Like if lucy had come early there were two outcomes but both sort of ended well.
