I think if it does happen it'll be a while coming. I'm a big Shenny shipper and I'm hoping for endgame w/them, but know it'll probably be Lenny (bleck, no offense, just can't stand them). I don't know what it would do to his character, but I think it'd be interesting to see how it would work out.

No, don't think so. I don't think it depends on the end game status of Lennard and Penny either. Sheldon wouldn't end up with her-if he has an end game with any one it would be Amy. But I don't think the show creators would go there at all.

I hope to God and Cow that it doesn't happen. I really don't believe that it will-the writers have always maintained that he'll stay the same, and he hasn't changed much with Amy (though that's not a relationship and I think in 4.05 they dismissed the idea of having sex or anything) so I have faith that the writers won't do it. 18 months ago I may have picked yes, but not anymore.

Hey every body! I haven’t been here in a long time, hey to all my friends and hi, I’m Christine, to the new faces!
I’ve been keeping up with the show this season; just haven’t been here because frankly I haven’t liked it very much. But it’s still Big Bang, so I have to like it at least a little! But based on what we’ve seen of S/A, I doubt it’ll ever blossom into a relationship. And I don’t think he’d have a romance with anyone else. It would be very unrealistic.

But I agree with you totally-I don't think Shamy will get romantic and the writers won't sacrifice their most popular character by making him romantic with anyone.

Not a romantic relationship in general, but I definitely wanna see him doing something with Penny, not because he suddenly discovered that he'll succumb to his basic urges, but because he'll develop some feelings for Penny and Penny only!I want her to be the only exception, because they have magic together and they understand each other, even though they're so south and north pole! Until season 7 we have plenty of time for something awesome to be developed, so that the great potential that this duo has not to be wasted! But then of course this presupposes that the writers will take the risk to do so and I really wouldn't hold my breath on it, since they keep forcing the Lenny on us, caricaturing Sheldon to generate laughter in one eppy and making him more tolerable again in the next one!

Sheldon could never be involved in a romantic relationship, no matter how much the character evolves, it's just no the way he would go, we have got to know him during the past four seasons, and I think after all the situations we've seen him in, it's safe to assume we know that much. Also, as much as I love Penny and Sheldon's friendship, IF Sheldon was to have a relationship with anyone (and this would be in a very alternate universe) it wouldn't be with Penny, he wouldn't be able to stand being in a relationship with someone he can't have a conversation with about his work (aka, brag about his work) LOL.

I think (and hope) it will happen with Amy, but not in the conventional romantic way, more in their own "odd" way. We already saw that Sheldon really care about Amy in ways that he never cared about anyone (exept maybe his family). But yes, I think, it'll happen.
