Crystal Reed was born in Detroit, Michigan and began to study dance at an early age. In her teens, Reed was the dance captain at her high school in Roseville, Michigan. She also took part in a local community theater and performed in âm nhạc such as Annie and Grease. After graduating high school, Reed attended Wayne State trường đại học where she pursued fine arts. She then moved to Chicago and performed in thêm local plays before she moved to Hollywood.
