Let me summarize what happened in the first episode for you again, because you CLEARLY misunderstood! Scott was in the woods alone, scared, when he was ATTACKED by (what he thinks) is a WOLF!! That's kind of terrifying, and by kind of, I mean REALLY TERRIFYING. And why wouldn't he blame Derek for what happened to him?! I'd say that was pretty logical: Derek's the only one who seems to know what happened to him! Also, Scott definitely isn't "enjoying his powers" early in Season 1. Are you ignoring the part where he almost killed his best friend because he didn't know how to control himself?! 2. Yes, Derek has been watching over him. CREEPILY. Breaking into a minor's bedroom?! Yeah, that's totally the work of a guardian angel (NOT!!). And let's not forget that when Derek was shot in Magic Bullet, Scott DOES definitely try to save him, even though he voices a doubt ONCE. Only once! Derek definitely didn't have to beg him, so I'm going to assume you're exaggerating to solidify your (incorrect) argument. 3. Let's also remember that when Scott (and Stiles, who actually said he'd leave Derek for dead in Magic Bullet..so why aren't you mad at him?) got Derek arrested, they did it because they found a dead body in his yard!! Derek was already looking pretty sketchy, were they REALLY supposed to give him the benefit of the doubt when he could've been a murderer?!??!?! 4. Kate was definitely more kind to Scott than Derek was (even though WE know she's evil, Scott doesn't know that because he's not omniscient!). 5. In S2, Derek creeps on a couple of teenagers. How is that appealing to ANYONE?! "Hey Scott, I've added some of your peers to my pack by seducing them in hospitals!!! That's cool, right?" No, Derek, that's creepy and wrong.

camodog258  Both of you are right , but also wrong. Both Scott and Derek have their ups and downs. But the past is past and now (season 3), they get along. They became friends and teamed up to destroy the alpha pack and darack.

And why wouldn't he blame Derek for what happened to him?! Because it wasn't Derek? Because Derek saved him from hunters? Because Derek was protecting Scott and other people? Because Derek was trying to help him? (Though admittedly he didn't go the best way about this, but this is Derek for you). Scott was simply jumping to conclusions. Yes, Derek is a werewolf, but that doesn't make him a murderer or the one who bit Scott. Besides if he wanted he could have killed Scott and Allison easily when he had the opportunity, yet he didn't. Instead he goes out of his way to save them. But Scott still treats Derek as the bad guy form the beginning, despite Derek's actions showing clearly that he is not what Scott believes him to be. Like you said he was scared of Derek and saw him as a threat, which was also the reason he couldn't see Derek as he was. Also Scott simply wanted Derek to be the bad guy, too. If he had admitted that he was wrong about Derek, he would have to listen to Derek's warnings and Scott didn't want that. He wanted to play lacrosse, become popular, get the girl. This is understandable, but it makes him incredibly short-sighted and more importantly SELFISH. I'd say that was pretty logical: Derek's the only one who seems to know what happened to him! Yes, Derek is currently the only suspect simply because he is the only werewolf Scott knows of, but Derek doesn't have a motive. Knowing more than Scott isn't difficult as Scott just became a werewolf and knows nothing about anything. Plus, more importantly the fact that Derek's actions clearly betray his protective nature. He may threaten and act like an asshole, but his actions show that he is a good guy. Scott never even tries to learn the truth, instead he condemns Derek from the start, despite Derek saving his ass. Also, Scott definitely isn't "enjoying his powers" early in Season 1. He is clearly using his powers and seems to be very happy about the benefits. What he dislikes is the trouble that follows being a werewolf. He uses his powers to become first line in lacrosse and fullfill his dream, something that would have been impossible otherwise because of his asthma. And don't tell me he didn't like it. He went as far as risking to hurt other people just because he wanted to shine. He hurt Jackson, attacked Stiles and still he played lacrosse. Also there is no way he would have gotten together with Allison if he wasn't bitten. He was a 'looser' before he got bitten (not that I agree, he was what I would call a normal teenager) and later became a badass. If he had not been bitten he would have stayed as he was. Unlike Stiles who shines as a normal human, Scott doesn't. I don't think Allison would like a weakling, after all she fell in love with the werewolf Scott McCall. As a werewolf he was very different to his former self and it is dubious Allison would have fallen for Scott. The fact that he said sorry twice doesn't erase the fact that he still selfishly went to the party and put others in danger. And then he hurts Jackson, because he didn't listen to his best friend and Derek, this despite knowing they were right. Again he puts others in danger and acts selfishly. And then he wolfs out and tries to kill Stiles. Has Scott learned from his mistakes? No, because going to the game is more important. He refuses to take responsibility and act reasonable, and instead asks Stiles to help him get rid of Derek and to find a way to help Scott control his inner wolf so he can play lacrosse. About the creepy part, maybe he did it to intimidate Scott, so he would listen to Derek or its just his normal behaviour. Derek is kind of weird. But despite his creepiness he doesn't deserve Scott's hatred. He still saved Scott's live. And let's not forget that when Derek was shot in Magic Bullet, Scott DOES definitely try to save him, even though he voices a doubt ONCE. Only once! After being rescued by Derek before, Scott should have returned the favour without having to be asked in the first place. Also is Scott not supposed to be the hero? That's what good guy's do, they rescue people even if they dislike them, something Scott did for Jackson, too. A fine hero Scott makes. NOT. 3. And even supposing that he was the murderer, Scott still owed him since Derek had helped him out before, and even if this was not the case, they went this far for Jackson, but Derek doesn't deserve it, or what? Not that I condone murder, but instead of jumping to conclusions (again) they should have tried to find out the truth. 4.
