I just got news from a new game informer that Markus Persson has expressed interest in funding Psychonauts 2! So it may be coming. Maybe.

It is now! Official funding has begun (they do need a lot of money for it but I expect they'll get it - it's such a highly anticipated game). It's expected to be released in 2018. ^^
