Paganism Câu Hỏi

What branch do bạn consider yourself?

So I just joined this club and wanted to get to know a few people, so I asked this question! I consider myself an eclectic fey (mostly of the Faery Faith, with bits of other Pagan branches sprinkled in).

That's a difficult câu hỏi for me.

My family has been practicing 'witchcraft/paganism' for generations and we stand alone. We don't belong to a certain branch. The branch which fits me the most however is Germanic Paganism and Wicca.

I speak of myself as "Melissite Gnostic." While much of my practice coincides with Wicca, other practices pertain to Hermetic and post-Hermetic traditions. I also work with multiple classical languages, entering into sacred, philosophical, and historical texts, and from time to time, I'm asked to tutor on these subjects. Though my spiritual practice is essentially non-Abrahamic, I don't shy away from texts that are (see image with Greek and Latin texts). The "Gnostic" part pertains to the fact that gnosis happens and can happen quite unexpectedly. I can find examples from Plato to Shamanic, Dharmic, and even Abrahamic sources as well as Telestatic ones. My own awakeing took the form of shamanic illness and the gnosis that transformed me changed me forever, leading me eventually to my patron goddess Isis Urania. The Melissite aspect pertains to my pathworking. I noticed on the Briatic level (the Mental Plane) the prevalence of bees and their relationship to the flow of energy through the levels of existence that seemed incredible to me. So when I speak of "Melissite Gnostic," I don't speak of a belief system. Instead, I speak of where my dreaming practices have taken me.
