I'm going to the library to pick up some zombie books soon, and thought 'Hey, why not get some LOST books while I'm there!' and I was hoping some fellow LOST Book Club members could help me out. ;]

I made this list after searching the internet for books relating to LOST.

The Third Policeman - Flann O' Brien
"The writers of Lost have specifically referenced this book as providing "ammunition" which may aid with interpretation of the show's plot." - Wiki

A Tale Of Two Cities - Charles Dickens
Episode title!

Stranger In A Strange Land - Robert A. Heinlein
Episode title!

Catch 22 - Joseph Heller
Episode title!

Prey - Michael Crichton
"Apparently, the producers of Lost have denied that the black cloud in this story is the same as the one on the island. But I've read the book and it sounds a lot like the island's mysterious black smoke cloud. Could also explain some of the figures (Jack's dad, black horse, Walt) the survivors have seen on the island." - Squidoo

Everything That Rises Must Converge - Flannery O'Connor
JACOB'S BOOK! ;D

Lord Of The Flies - William Golding
"* This novel is mentioned by Sawyer. "Folks down on the beach might have been doctors and accountants a month ago, but it's 'Lord of the Flies' time, now." ("...In Translation")
* Charlie mentions how the Tailies went "all 'Lord of the Flies'." ("What Kate Did")
* Hurley encounters a fly-infested boar hanging from a tree whilst trekking through the jungle ("Numbers")
* Wild Boar were present both in the book, and on the Island
* The younger boys complained of a mysterious monster that traveled through the forest with ease.
" - Lostpedia

The Mysterious Island - Jules Verne
"* Shannon called the Island "Mystery frickin' island". ("Whatever the Case May Be")
* In the novel, several people and a dog crash-land a balloon onto an island in the South Pacific (as the actual Henry Gale apparently did), where odd things happen. ("Whatever the Case May Be")
* There is an orangutan called "Jupe" (short for "Jupiter") on the Island. The Hanso Foundation's Joop is very likely a reference to this. (TLE)
" - Lostpedia

To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee
"Before Juliet plays the fake movie for Jack, the movie she claims she is putting in is the classic 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird, starring Gregory Peck, which is based on the 1960 novel of the same name. ("The Cost of Living")" - Lostpedia

There's also 'Of Men And Mice', but I'm already reading it.

livexthexlife92 picked To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee:
this is probablly my all time favorite book, but Lord Of the Flies is friggen BRILLIANT too. and if you want a book thats very closley related to LOST, then i highly recommend Lord Of the Flies. LOST deffo took a lot of elements from that book. but im bias in picking to Kill A Mockingbird just cause its one of my favorites. oprah said that if you were to read one book in youre entire life, this should be it and i completley agree. its about innocense and growing up and just has ahmazing memorable characters. but good list, iv read a lot of the books on it and theyre all great.
