EXO’s Lay Talks About How Much He Respects Lee Soo Man

The special teacher-student relationship between SM Entertainment‘s Lee Soo Man and EXO‘s Lay touches the hearts of many.

Finishing off their second solo tour, EXO held their encore concert, “EXO PLANET #2 The EXO’luXion [dot]” was held at Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 18-20. On the last day of the concert, EXO’s Lay talks about the respect he holds for Lee Soo Man, who was in attendance.

In front of all the fans, Lay says in both Korean and Chinese, “Today, teacher Lee Soo Man, someone I extremely respect, is here today. Because I respect him so much, I want to know him better. Because I want to know more about him, I want to learn from him. I want to challenge him just as much as I want to learn from him. And, because I want to challenge him very much, I want to surpass him. So, I will work hard teacher Lee Soo Man.”

He also adds in Chinese that Lee Soo Man is an excellent teacher, and “to be able learn from such a teacher, and to be next to him is precious to me.”

Throughout the concert, Lee Soo Man watched the performances with an affectionate gaze, and supported the EXO members with his cheers.
