It was two days before the last workday of the season. They were sitting on the đi văng trying to watch a new episode of Lost. Lisa was sitting between his legs and leaning against his chest while he had his arms wrapped around her waist and was absentmindedly stroking her stomach. They still hadn’t talked, they didn’t want to talk because they knew how much it could hurt. He kissed her neck then leaned back against the couch, closed his eyes and sighed, ‘We have to talk…’
Lisa turned her head to look at him then she looked down sadly, ‘I don’t want to talk…’ Her voice was barely audible and filled with sadness, it was breaking his heart. He brushed his fingers softly trough her hair and over her cheeks and then kissed her. They kept on kissing for a very long time. They both didn’t want to stop because they knew that would mean the end of their dream-month. The need for air finally broke them apart, but they kept their eyes closed, it was their last attempt to escape reality…
Their eyes were opened and they were staring at each other, both trying to read the others mind. ‘What are we gonna do?’, Lisa asked softly. ‘I-I don’t know…’, Hugh really didn’t know. ‘Are bạn going back to London?’, she asked, tears already visible in her eyes. Didn’t she want him here?, ‘What… why?’ ‘Because…, because they are counting on bạn and they are your kids and wife and … they tình yêu you.’, tears had started to fall from her eyes. ‘I-I know, but I…’, he started but Lisa interrupted him. ‘You should at least try to make bạn marriage work again, give it a last shot… I’ll be fine…’, she said. She didn’t really want to say this, but she had to do the right thing. He had made her so happy for the past weeks and all she really wanted was for him to stay with her and the baby forever, but that would be selfish. He was already married and he had three kids and they loved and needed him too, he was theirs.

After a few moments he felt how she had stopped crying and her breathing slowly evened out, she was sleeping. He looked at the amazing woman in his arms and felt another wave of tears come over him. He didn’t want to leave her and the baby here. He didn’t want to lose her, but he didn’t want to lose his kids either. He had finally managed to get himself into so much trouble he didn’t think he would get out of. He would do what she had said, he would go back to Luân Đôn to sort things out. He would try to do the right thing, even though it would hurt, he would do anything for her…
How will this summer end?
How do I know what is meant?
When I wake up from the dream what will it be?
And I don’t know what I’ll lose,
but I know I have to choose
between LA and England…
