The young marauders (at least James and Sirius) where just bullies. I'm never on the side of bullies.
If this question where about older Sirius and Remus vs older Snape I would go for the Sirius and Remus, since Snape seems to be stuck in juvenile spite and is more of a bully himself, but when they where young I have to go for the bullied.

The marauders were bad. But Snape? He was like a snake. (lol)
He wanted them to be all death! (James actually saved his live once) but Snape would never do that, he was so full of anger and hate that he was away worse than Marauder's.

Until I read All the good stuff about snape in seven I would have never picked him...but now I realy feel sorry for him. and those guys were being jerks!

As much as I value Snape's courage, etc etc and as much as I agree that the young Marauders were a bit immature, and did bully snape, I can't be on Snape's side. It's not as if Snape didn't spend every moment bullying Neville and Harry when he got the chance, and this is at a point when he was a grown up. Sure the marauders were mean with him, but they were also immature, they were young, and once they grew and matured they felt bad for what they did (as they explain to Harry later). Clearly Snape never matured, and instead satisfied himself by bullying Harry, Neville or other "weak" kids, I find that less ok. When Lupin came back to teach at Hogwarts he didnt treat Snape in a rude way, while Snape made sure to "let it slip" that he was a werewolf.

So like I said, I do value Snape's courage, but I can't be on his side haha... Everything that he did kind of makes it hard for me to sympathize with him. I understand him to an extent, but I can't really sympathize that much.

It's hard to pick a side. I think they both made their mistakes. Sure, the young marauders were immature and childish, but still I don't think that entire justifies their bullying.

It's true that Snape bullied Harry even when he was grown up, but I don't think that has to do with being immature. I think he was just holding a really big grudge, I mean the three boys would humiliate him in front of the woman she loved. Can you really blame him for wanting to (for lack of a better word) take revenge?
I think Snape treated some of his students unfairly, there's no question about that. But if we talk about their YOUNG ages, I feel bad for what they put Snape through, and I can understand his actions to a certain extent. I'm not saying they can be justified, I'm just saying I understand him.
As for the YM, they definitely grew up and matured, and I love them. All of them, probably more than Snape.(even though I really respect Snape and his courage). But it doesn’t take away the fact that what they did was wrong.

So basically I think that one thing doesn’t take away the other. The fact that the YM matured and felt bad, doesn’t take away the fact that what they did was wrong. And Snape’s actions (towards certain students) can’t be justified either, but we can also sometimes see where they are coming from. (again, which doesn’t take away the fact that it’s wrong)

But, answering this pick about their YOUNG AGES. And only taking into account those years, I would be on Snape’s side. I mean I’d much rather be friends with the YM, they are cooler and fun guys. But as far as the bullying goes, I’m on Snapes side.

I beg your pardon? Lily became interested in Potter in 7 year and she met Severus before even going to Hogwarts. So I really do not understand how young Severus could heve been stealing Lily from Potter.

Okay, the marauders were bullies to Snape, which was kind of immature and childish(I still love them), but they regrtted their mistakes later on. Snape became a bully and started picking on Neville and Harry and other kids, and "let is slip" that Remus was a wearwolve.
