Courtney's P.O.V.

We were almost there. The lâu đài would have been just beyond those trees. Then there was a high, piercing screech nearby. I ducked as a vampire at swooped over my head.

I screamed as the bat attacked Duncan. It was on warpath.
I grabbed his ahnd. "Run!" I shrieked as I dragged him through the forest.
We ran and ran, the bat on our heels. I had no idea where I was going and if I'd ever get there. But I realized how tired we were getting. We had to stop soon, but where could we go. An image flashed in my mind. It was a beautiful...
