I love the film, but yeah Philip and Aurora need more development. And the stuff with the kings is utterly pointless.
But hey at least he thinks Maleficent is shit.

That one and The Little Mermaid...and Snow White....as a general rule, Doug seems to have some sort of knack to like especially the movies which I think are just okay, but is overly critical of the ones I like. I don't think that Aurora and Phillip are THAT bland, I don't think that any of the voice actors in Tangled did a bad job (especially not since Tangled is one of the few Disney movies I always watch in English because I think that the English Voice acting is far superior, which doesn't happen that often), I don't think that Mulan is just another "I want" princess (she is in my eyes the first of the modern princesses, who got a lot of character development)...I am also not surprised that he likes Aladdin, because that movie was clearly designed to appeal to the male demographic.

This is a great movie. I think that Doug can be a bit nitpicky and even unfair in his evaluations of Disney movies but I also think that BatB is one of Disney's best, both from a storytelling view and a musical one.

Wait, I didn't hear him say anything negative about Frozen.

I don't really agree with Nostalgia Critic. So I picked none of these. BUT I FIND Nostalgia Chick, who is given to just openly discrediting movies right off the bat as lame--- TO BE TEN TIMES WORSE!!!!!!

^She hasn't done anything that good/interesting in the last two years, though, but yeah, i'm not fond of her either.
