People see it as a great classic. Its old fashioned yet timeless at the same time.

The designs are a bit outdated (Snow White's eyes still freak me out), but aside from that I think it holds up pretty well.

From a writing, animation, and song point of view, not too much. While those are still fantastic, they aren't as good as some of the other Disney films. However, I feel like this story is main fueled on emotion and not logic because it's a fairy-tales and is trying to be just that. Frozen, while trying to be a Disney film, was also trying to be a film of logic and even make fun of some of the past Disney Princess movies. So it wasn't trying to be a real fairy-tale and so it's lack of logic and plot holes can't be excused because it wasn't trying to be that way. Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs isn't dependent on logic and is just created by emotion. You want the dwarfs to save Snow White, you want her to wake up, and you want her to find the prince. I cry when I see the funeral scene in the movie, it's heartbreaking. It's one of the reasons I love The Swan Princess, it's not reliant on logic but more on emotion. So in a sense, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs really does still hold up. It's in my top 30 favorite Disney movies and I will always adore this film.

If you compare it to the other films made in the 30s is among those that are aged the best. You probably do not notice this if you have not seen many films made in the 30s.

It's very stuck in the 30s, from the designs to the music to the writing/characters. But I think it can still be enjoyed by modern audiences due to that classic fairytale charm.

It has aged better than, say, Peter Pan.

Not audreybrooke, an Aurora fan dissing Snow White and calling her dated. Get your priorities straight.
