Hi everyone! I found this Mary Sue test someone was doing for Percy Jackson characters and really liked it. I decided it'd be fun to put Disney princesses through it, since a lot of them are accused of being Sues (though I modified the test a little, adding and removing some traits). This test is great because it isn't unnecessarily long-winded and bạn don't need to be the creator of the character to put them through it (though some of the traits do get repetitive). I had to remove some like "Naturally beautiful" and "Great hát voice" since that's pretty much a được trao for all the princesses.

I decided to start with Rapunzel, since she's one of the most accused princesses. I'll rank each of the traits and give her a score at the end. Enjoy!

Unique traits without contacts hoặc hair dye- No. Blonde hair and green eyes are common and while her hair is unnaturally long, the hoa works to explain it (especially since her hair is naturally brown). (I guess I'll have to substitute for the "contacts hoặc hair dye part", since none of the princesses have them)
An odd name- Yes. 'Rapunzel' is as odd as it gets. 1.
Looks constantly đã bình luận on- No. I can't remember Rapunzel's looks being đã bình luận on much.
Always the hero- Kind of. She did win over the thugs, save herself and Flynn, and even bring him back to life after he unsuccessfully tried to rescue her. 1.
Multiple characters falling for her- Not really. Only Flynn really did.
Gets into the relationships she wants- (I'll have to be generous with this, since it's a trait all of them share with their tình yêu interests) Not really. She didn't really want a relationship with Flynn as much she wanted to achieve her dream.
No flaws hoặc any flaws addressed hoặc called out on- Yes. Gothel certainly criticizes her flaws, but only because she's an abusive parent and the villain. The only time her naivete gets her into trouble is when it's just Gothel tricking her again. This is one of the biggest traits, so 2 points. 2.
Seen as perfect/angelic in everyone's eyes- Definitely. Everyone loves her and sees her as angelic. Also worth 2 points. 2.
Always loved and trusted without earning it- Yes. The thugs and townspeople immediately loved her without knowing she was the Mất tích princess. So did Flynn, though she at least earned that. Another major trait that's worth 2 points. 2.
tình yêu and trust from closed-off characters- Yes. Both the thugs and Flynn. 1.
Other characters degraded for her sake- Not as far as I can remember.
A rival to make her look good- No. I can't remember any rival she had, unless Gothel counts (which I don't think it does)
Never fails- Yes. She succeeded in leaving her tower, saving herself and Flynn from drowning, achieving her dream, and even bringing Flynn back to life. 1.
Never injured- Yes. I can't remember a time Rapunzel was injured, unlike Flynn, though it could be justified due to her healing hair. 1.
Always praised and rewarded without earning it- Not really. She earned her happy ending and most of the praise she received.
Unrealistically skilled/powerful- No. She had her entire life to practice her skills, and her powers aren't that unreasonable (except for when she brings Flynn back to life).
Always figures things out- Kind of. She figured out how to save herself and Flynn, how to fit in with the outside world despite never having left before, and even that she was the Mất tích princess and that Gothel was lying to her for no explained reason. 1.
Kind but deadly- That's most of Rapunzel's personality. 1.
Tragic backstory- Yes, even if she doesn't see it as such. Kidnapped as a baby, used and abused bởi her caretaker, kept isolated and not allowed any contact with the outside world. 1.
Skilled in a wide variety of things- Yes, even if it's justified due to the time she spends alone. Just listen to the first song. 1.
Contradictory traits- No, Rapunzel's personality traits were pretty consistent, except for her conflicting emotions about leaving the tower, which are played for laughs and realistic.
Always gets what she wants- Yes, actually. She was forbidden from leaving her tower but left anyway, got to achieve her dream, escape her oppressive "mother" and confined life, and reunite with her parents. 1.
Rarely shows negative emotions- Yes. She does hiển thị insecurity, indecision, and anger towards Gothel, but most of the time she's just cheerful and happy. 1.
A resurrection- No, though she does have the ability to resurrect others.

That's 17 out of 24. I'd say that's a mild Sue. It's hard trying to fill these because few characters fit too many of the traits. I added two of my own traits (the two last ones before "A resurrection"), since I was struggling to have as many as in the original test.

If bạn think I answered any of these wrong, tell me. This is just too fun and I'm not too confident with my skill. Tell me how accurate bạn think this was, and who I should do next.
Hi!
I'm a huge người hâm mộ of Rick Riordan's books, and I thought this would be an interesting idea! First of all, let me explain bạn a bit: there are 20 cabins in Camp Half-Blood, each of them belongs to a god, and their demigod children live in their respective cabins. For example, Percy Jackson belongs in lều, cabin #3 because he's a son of Poseidon, and Annabeth Chase belongs to lều, cabin #6 since her mother is Athena. The 20 cabins are:
#1 – Zeus (king of the gods)
#2 – Hera (goddess of marriage and fidelity)
#3 – Poseidon (god of the sea)
#4 – Demeter (goddess of nature)
#5 – Ares (god of war)
#6 –...

We all tình yêu Disney princesses, don’t we? So Seasons are also like them, they are really different from each other and each one of them at least has a good trait. I recently developed an interest of nghề viết văn các bài viết on Disney princess symbolism. Thanks to the people who viewed my các bài viết recently and loved them! Hope bạn all enjoy!
Snow white – Spring

3. Rajah is a tiger. hổ are a symbol of INDIA.

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as hoa nhài because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If bạn want a version of Aladdin và cây đèn thần with hoa nhài being played bởi a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

A fair number of Disney Princess DVDs were released in the early 2000's, and the series I'm most familiar with is the Princess Party line. To my knowledge, there were just two installments, both of which I apparently still own! These DVDs feature Disney Princess-related games, activities, and stories with the goal of helping to create a memorable DP-themed party for young girls. I first rented this disk from Blockbuster about a decade cách đây just to check out the games, so I have a bit of nostalgia for it. But how well does the content on the DVD hold up? Let's take a look!

DVD Features

Look down there! It's a song analysis!
Greetings! I'm ApplesauceDoctr, and today I present my fourth song analysis. This time though (somewhat similar to my "Reflection" analysis), I'll be comparing two songs -- "So This is Love" and "Dancing on a Cloud," both of which come from Disney's Cinderella. "Dancing on a Cloud," the deleted song, was written with the intent of doing what "So This is Love" later did -- to hiển thị how Lọ lem and the prince fell in tình yêu with each other at the ball. While the two seem similar at first, further examination shows that the two are a bit different, and it gives a better understanding of why "Dancing...

The good ol' baddies
Well, it's time for another bài viết here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another bài viết again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about Disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the Disney villains thêm than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

Saw an old câu hỏi đã đăng from a năm cách đây that inspired me to write this. The câu hỏi was about which Disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope bạn guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this bài viết ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in được ưa chuộng culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Chuyện thần tiên ở New York Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," hoặc "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," hoặc "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the Disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely tình yêu her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also tình yêu her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

Ok, so I'm going to danh sách my hàng đầu, đầu trang 10 yêu thích Disney Princess dresses. Since there's 10 spots, one Princess may be in the danh sách multiple times and another may not be on it at all. Before my number one I will danh sách honorable mentions that ALMOST made it onto my list. Time to start the list! Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and bạn might not agree. Enjoy the article!

10. Belle's vàng dress

Maybe it's a tad overrated, but I think it deserves a lot of the attention it gets. It's absolutely gorgeous! Just look at it! And this is coming from someone who hates that color, and even I have to admit...

All right, this is really part analysis and half rant so if bạn dislike the Disney Princesses (and if bạn do I don't know why you're here!) hoặc hate the ones who at any point need a man's help (which is all of them, but I'll get to that later), I don't recommend đọc this.

I also must warn you: I discuss stuff about every princess and we have THIRTEEN NOW, so it'll be long. Feel free to skim to your favorites, though, if bạn wish, to make it shorter.

A lot of Disney những người hâm mộ and critics alike accuse the Princesses, specifically the older ones, of "sitting around waiting for a prince", "waiting...

I was bored so I decided to write an bài viết about which princesses look like which greek goddesses, since I'm greek and I tình yêu the Greek Mythology. Enjoy!

Hera- Jasmine

Firstly, Hera has a serious problem with her temper, like Jasmine. She likes getting revenge and even though we don't see hoa nhài as revengeful, I believe that if someone hurts her, she won't forget it so easily (besides Aladdin, she forgives him every time, like Hera forgives Zeus). Also, Hera protects women which means she's a feminist, again like Jasmine. Another common, is thei history with their husbands. Zeus...
