Dungeons & Những câu chuyện về rồng (or D&D for short) is a super fun bàn, để bàn roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend bạn give it a try if bạn ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my yêu thích hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning the Disney Princesses into D&D characters.

Over the last năm I've been slowly creating D&D characters based off of the DPs, and I spent so much time on them that I really wanted to share them here. I'll be posting a series of articles, one for each DP, in which I explain why I chose the classes, subclasses, etc. for each princess, and share the backstory I wrote for each. I'll also be crossposting these các bài viết to the D&D club. All the characters will be level 3 to ensure that they all have a chosen subclass. Sourcebooks used to build these characters include the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Since I expect many of bạn here don't play D&D hoặc maybe even haven't heard of it, I'll begin with the backstory I wrote since bạn might find that the most interesting. Below the backstory you'll find the thêm nitty gritty stats of the characters. Anything written in italics is an author's note explaining my reasoning behind certain character choices.

Anna

Human Paladin - Oath of Devotion / Background - Noble

I know Anna is also technically not an official DP, but I really wanted to include Elsa in this series and it felt weird including her but not Anna, so here we are. Anna was another really tough one for me. She doesn't really have anything that screams any D&D class to me, but the one thing she is is extremely devoted to her sister. Thus, I made her a paladin with the Oath of Devotion subclass. We'll just say she's devoted to her Queen and kingdom rather than any particular deity. She of course has the noble background, having been raised a princess.

Backstory

Backstories have been created with a combination of the stories from the films and rolling randomly on the ngẫu nhiên tables in the "This Is Your Life" section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is why some of these backstories have some wild things that really come out of left field lol.

CW: forced marriage

I am the một giây born daughter of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna of Arendelle. My early childhood was a happy one, and I was very close with my older sister Elsa. One day, very suddenly, she became reclusive and fearful, always concealing her hands with gloves even in summer, and my parents dismissed the majority of the palace staff with no explanation to me. From then on I spent most of my childhood alone, with no close friends. All my attempts to spend time with my sister were rebuffed, and my parents gave me the unsatisfying explanation that she was focusing on training to be queen. I never gave up though, always trying to reach out and knowing that my best friend was still somewhere under that icy exterior.

When I was 15 our parents died tragically in a shipwreck, and Elsa and I were left to our own devices. Detailed in our parents wills were their wishes for how we should be cared for. Elsa was to focus on studying to be ruler until her coronation once she turned 21, and I was to be married off to the most politically advantageous eligible bachelor.

I was both excited and nervous at the prospect of marriage. It never even occurred to me that tình yêu wouldn't be involved. tình yêu and marriage went hand in hand in all the stories, so why should my marriage be any different?

The first suitor to hiển thị up was Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, a handsome young man only a few years older than myself. We seemed to connect immediately over our quirky interests, and I declared to Elsa that I was in tình yêu and wanted to marry him. Still dazed with grief from the death of our parents she agreed, and a simple ceremony later we were married and I was whisked off to his lâu đài in the Southern Isles. It was there that I learned that marriage was not the happy ending I'd believed it would be.

Tortured, miserable, and feeling thêm trapped in this loveless marriage than I had in the halls of my childhood home, I was not to see Elsa hoặc Arendelle for another three years. Hans proved himself to be a cruel, power hungry man who would do anything to get what he wanted. He forbade me from ever contacting my sister, and I knew my servants spied upon me for him. I was constantly watched, constantly controlled, and the worst part of it was that I always had to put on a happy face in public and put on the facade of the loving wife. I had a scrap of a lullaby from my mother written on a piece of paper that I used to sing to myself when I felt most alone, and even that he tore in two.

But my chance for a taste of freedom came with my sister's 21st birthday and her subsequent coronation. It would have been Scandal for her own sister not to attend her coronation, so my husband and I sailed off to Arendelle.

Her coronation went smoothly, with Elsa remaining as regal, beautiful, and distant as I remembered: the picture of cold queenly grace. During the reception that followed she greeted me warmly, but when I asked her if I might return to Arendelle she refused. I begged her to reconsider, but was unable to reveal the horrors of my marriage with so many eavesdroppers around us. She became frustrated and turned away. I grabbed her hand, tearing away one of the gloves she always wore. She lashed out in anger, and a spray of icy magic flew from her ungloved hand.

The guests looked on in shock and horror as we saw what she had been hiding for years: the skin on her hands was not skin at all, but the pearly scales of a white dragon. She was a sorcerer, and not only that but one possessing the powers of one of the most feared creatures in the north. White Những câu chuyện về rồng were known bởi all to be animalistic, vicious, and cruel. It took only moments for the guests in attendance to turn on her. I was the only one who saw the fear in her eyes.

She fled, and I behind her. We barely escaped with our lives. We made it to the docks, where Elsa was able to convince a friendly foreign sailor who hadn't yet heard about the commotion at the palace to take us aboard, and we sailed away from our kingdom.

We have been living in exile ever since. Elsa and I have rekindled our friendship, and we have vowed to no longer keep secrets between each other. Elsa is working on mastering her powers and I have chosen to devote myself to her as her paladin. I have begun studying the blade and have taken for my symbol a white dragon to showcase my devotion to my sister and queen.

In our absence, Hans took over the kingdom and has made a complete mess of things. There are reports of unrest and starvation amongst the subjects, and he has garnered the ire of a mighty orc war chief who threatens to overrun and destroy the entire kingdom.

United, the two of us hope to reclaim our homeland.

Yeah, bạn can totally ignore Nữ hoàng băng giá 2 and where Elsa gets her powers in the movies. I'll explain thêm about it when I post Elsa tomorrow. Another forced marriage! I managed to roll exactly the same thing for Anna as I did for Merida, which I thought was exceptionally lame because Anna already falls in tình yêu in her movie and so that result didn't add anything new to the story. But I thought a forced marriage might spice things up a bit! Honestly, I tình yêu this backstory. It's my yêu thích after Aurora's.

Character Stats

Level 3

STR +3 (16) DEX +1 (13) CON +2 (15) INT -1 (9) WIS 0 (11) CHA +2 (15)

I used the standard array to generate stats. I tried to assign them in a way that would allow for a strong D&D character while still remaining mostly true to the attributes of the character in the film.

HP 28
AC 18 (chain mail + shield)
Initiative +1
Speed 30 ft.
Immune to disease

Saving throws: Wis +2, Cha +4

Skills: History +1, Investigation +1, Medicine +2, Persuasion +4 (For her class skills I gave her Medicine and Persuasion. She always wants to take care of her sister, especially when she has a cold like in Nữ hoàng băng giá Fever, so that's why I gave her medicine. And she's very persistent in her attempts to persuade Elsa to be Những người bạn again. History was granted bởi her background, and then I got one more. I chose Investigation because she seems like a curious girl who likes to learn new things.)

Languages: Common, Dwarvish, Giant (I was a little stumped on languages until I remembered that there are canonically trolls in their film. I looked up trolls in the Monster Manual, and it turns out they speak Giant! So it makes sense that Anna would have learned Giant if her people had contact with trolls. And then they live in a mountainous area so I wouldn't be surprised if there were dwarves nearby, so I gave her Dwarvish as well.)

Tools: Playing Card Set

Features and Traits

Divine Smite: When bạn hit with a melee weapon attack, bạn can expend one spell slot to deal 2d8 extra radiant damage to the target plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st (max 5d8) and plus 1d8 against undead hoặc fiends (max 6d8 total).

Spells

Modifier: +2
Spell Attack: +4
Save DC: 12

1st (3 slots): Bless, Cure Wounds, Protection from Evil and Good, Sanctuary, Searing Smite

I wanted to focus on mostly healing magic for her. I feel like she would prefer to attack her enemies with something physical like a weapon, rather than a spell.

Actions

Javelin: +5 to hit, 1d6+3 piercing damage

Warhammer: +5 to hit, 1d8+3 bludgeoning damage

Channel Divinity: Your oath allows bạn to channel divine energy to fuel magical effects. When bạn use your Channel Divinity, bạn choose which option to use. bạn must then finish a short hoặc long rest to use your Channel Divinity again. Some Channel Divinity effects require saving throws (DC 12).
- Channel Divinity: Sacred Weapon - As an action bạn can imbue a weapon with positive energy. For 1 minute, the weapon is considered magical, bạn add +2 to attack rolls, it emits bright light for 20 ft. and dim light for 20 ft beyond that. bạn can end the effect as part of any other action, if bạn are no longer holding the weapon, hoặc if bạn fall unconscious.
- Channel Divinity: Turn the Unholy - As an action, bạn can censure fiends and undead. Each fiend hoặc undead that can see hoặc hear bạn within 30 ft. must make a WIS saving throw (DC 12). On failure, it is turned for 1 một phút hoặc until it takes damage.

Divine Sense: As an action, bạn can detect good and evil. Until the end of your tiếp theo turn, bạn can sense anything affected bởi the hallow spell hoặc know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover. bạn can use this feature 3 times per long rest.

Lay on Hands Pool: bạn have a pool of healing power that can restore 15 HP per long rest. As an action, bạn can touch a creature to restore any number of HP remaining in the pool, hoặc 5 HP to either cure a disease hoặc neutralize a poison affecting the creature.

Reactions

Fighting Style: Interception - When a creature bạn can see hits a target, other than you, within 5 ft. of bạn with an attack, bạn can use your reaction to reduce the damage the target takes bởi 1d10+2 (to a minimum of 0 damage). bạn must be wielding a shield hoặc a simple hoặc martial weapon to use this reaction. (I chose the interception fighting style for her because of the iconic moment when she intercepts Hans' sword to save Elsa. It just made perfect sense.)

That's it for Anna! I hope bạn enjoyed reading. If bạn have any các câu hỏi hoặc opinions I'd tình yêu to hear them in the comments! See bạn tomorrow with another princess~

Okay, I was watching the 2012 version of Les Miserables last night and I had seen the 2015 reboot of Lọ lem last month. Both phim chiếu rạp have a common theme with each other: Forgiveness. The characters also play a similar traits to each other.

Cinderella

While watching this movie last month, I keep thinking that the story reminds me of Les Miserables! Aside from the same filming location of France, certain scenes and characters remind of some characters from Les Miserables.
For example, during the scene after Lady Tremaine and the 2 stepsisters called Ella bởi her trademark name, Cinderella. The...

A while ago, I did a phiếu bầu series called "A Movie Staring Disney Princesses" , deciding what roles Disney Princesses would play in a movie (results are down below. And then I đã đăng a forum, deciding plots. Although I did decide most of the plot, many people helped me get started and got the plot going in my head, so I can't take all the credit. It's not so much that I dislike her, it's just I found her kind of bland in her movie. She was boring, though I enjoyed her sweet personality. Who do you choose? Live-action reboot or Animated???
So, since Disney has release 2 live-action reboots of their Disney classic animated feature. Here is what I think about which movie is better, as well as their animated counterparts.

Cinderella (1950 & 2015)

I would definitely go for the live-action version, as mentioned in my trước đó articles. Ella has thêm personality compare to her animated counterpart, and of course, less screen-time for the mice.
However, no Bruno the dog! Also, no songs in it. I wish it was, but on the other hand, the producers and Kenneth Brannagh didn't want the movie to be to close to its original 1950 animated...

Hi guys, since Nữ hoàng băng giá has took the world bởi storm, this bài viết is basically about my initial impressions about the story-line, the songs and music, as well as the art and characters' designs back in 2003, 10 years before the movie that took the world bởi storm.

The Story

When I first heard that Disney was going to adapt the Snow Queen, my first impression was that it was going to be faithful towards the original story bởi Hans Christian Anderson. Secondly, I thought that it was about 2 sisters who one of them discover to have ice powers, according to a prophecy, were separated since they were...

Hi everyone!

In this article, I’m going to compare two phim chiếu rạp from the Disney Revival, one revolving around a Mất tích princess with magical golden hair, and the other revolving around two sisters, one of whom is a Queen with ice powers.

Part A.    Which is the "better" movie?

Tangled has a thêm cohesive plot and seems to me to have deeper characters that interact superbly with each other. Emotions and thoughts were successfully conveyed with an abundance of facial expressions. I tình yêu Down in New Orleans and basically the whole beginning. When Tiana is human, it's actually very entertaining. This is my ranking of the princes. This is probably going to be one of my harder các bài viết so please don't be rude.

12. Hans- I can't even describe how much I dislike this character. I hate the idea that the handsome prince has to be a jerk. One of the things I really hate about Nữ hoàng băng giá is that it mocks the tình yêu at first sight of the Walt era princess films. “Rapunzel” is the kind of story that consistently ranks highly in people’s lists of their yêu thích fairy tales.
