If you've never seen it, "Frozen - A Musical Feat. Disney Princesses" is a Youtube video bởi Youtube user AVbyte. To form an opinion on it, bạn should watch it at this link: link

I already đã đăng a not-so-popular diễn đàn post about it, which I quote here: "Has anyone seen the video "Elsa- I Don't Need a Man"? In this video, Elsa sings to the classic-er princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine) It infuriates me for two reasons.

1. She shames the other princesses for falling in love/wanting to fall in love. For one, not all of them were lovesick ninnies- Belle and hoa nhài wanted adventure, Belle didn't let Gaston woo her, and hoa nhài didn't appreciate being treated like a prize. And is it really so bad that the others fell in love? They were classic fairytale phim chiếu rạp made in a classic time period. Their tình yêu stories were unrealistic, yes, but Elsa should not shame them because they were products of their time.

2. If any princess should be hát this song, it should be Mulan, Tiana, Merida (much as I hate her), Jasmine, hoặc others. NOT Elsa! I'm sick of everyone diễn xuất like she's such a strong role model just because she has ice powers and doesn't get married. To me, she is a weak role model, weaker than Snow White, because at least Snow can stay positive and happy and make the best of a bad situation. All Elsa does is shut everyone out and run away from her problems, leaving the kingdom to freeze.

The one good thing about that video is that the vocals were really nice :)"

Well, bạn get most of the idea there, but now I'm doing an in-depth analysis:

First 6 giây of video: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle and hoa nhài are marveling as Ariel shows off, in a ditsy, nasal, "girly" voice, a fake hair hoa that Eric got her.

Just opening up to this video I am already annoyed. They are depicting all of these classic-er princesses as ditsy, annoying, cutesy girls. Not that there's really anything wrong with having a "girly" hoặc "cutesy" personality, but this video inaccurately depicts them in a stereotypical way meant to degrade them. Now, Snow White hoặc Aurora, POSSIBLY Lọ lem hoặc Ariel, might act this way (although not exactly to the extent that this video shows), but since when do hoa nhài and Belle? In both of their films, especially BATB, other "ditsy" girls like the blonde sisters hoặc the belly dancers were shown in a way that contrasts the female leads who we know and love.

0:06-0:12: Elsa, with a snooty expression on her face, sings: "Why does every princess need to have a prince? It's the same old story but I'm just not convinced"

Um, hello? Merida, anybody? (And it's not like they have the excuse of forgetting her, Nữ hoàng băng giá was made after Công chúa tóc xù came out, let alone all the strong princesses they're clearly forgetting about.) There are many other princesses, like Mulan, Tiana, Pocahontas, etc, who are strong enough to get along without their prince, but nope, they're in love, and that's clearly not strong enough for Elsa!

0:13: "Why keep on assuming men will save the day?"

Again, Elsa, we just went over how so many princesses don't need a man to save them. They often work together with their prince, hoặc even save their prince. And for the classic princesses, they are products of their time. We have so many strong princesses now, and that doesn't mean the ones who got saved bởi a prince are bad.

0:17: "I can be the hero and do it my own way!"

Actually, Elsa, bạn were not the hero of your story! Elsa mainly created the problem in Frozen, and Anna's act of tình yêu saved the day, but nooo, Anna fell in tình yêu so she can't be hát this! Again, another princess really should be hát this.

0:20: "Why be confined to be hiding behind true love? Enough! I'm who I am, I don't need a man."

These princesses who bạn are mocking are not "hiding behind true love". What does that even mean? Each of the princesses bạn can pretty much describe without using the words "her prince" hoặc something like that. And if bạn don't think bạn can, Elsa hoặc anyone who thinks that, then maybe you're the offensive one.

0:33: "(to Snow White) bạn got slipped a roofie. (to Jasmine) bạn fell for a cheat. (to Cinderella) bạn got really lucky that you've got tiny feet. (to Belle) You've got Stockholm Syndrome. (to Aurora) You're a spoiled brat. (to Ariel) bạn had special talents but gave them up like that!"

This really bothers me. She is making fun of all the other princesses. For Snow White, she was tricked bởi the witch, and yes, she shouldn't have opened the door, but she was just being her kind, open-hearted self. hoa nhài fell for a man who really loved and admired her. He may have lied, but she saw past his flaws for who he really was. Lọ lem did get really lucky, but is there any thêm recognized story than hers? As for Belle, I hate it when people say she has Stockholm syndrome! She fell for the Beast once he started being kind to her. Unrealistic, yes, but Elsa still has no right to put her down for a silly, inaccurate reason like that. How on earth is Aurora a spoiled brat? Really, tell me why, because that makes NO sense. And yes, Ariel did give up her voice for a kind of silly plan, but Elsa could certainly look up to how spunky and determined she is!

0:54: After repeating what she sang in 0:20, Elsa sings "Please understand bạn don't need a man". hoa nhài says "You haven't found him yet."

Would hoa nhài really say this? In her movie she đã đưa ý kiến she didn't want to marry someone unless she was ready and truly loved the man. I'm sure she would say the same for women everywhere, but again, this video replaces their actual personalities with generic, stereotypical, ditsy princesses.

1:00: The Princesses sing: "When you're in love, head over fin, nothing else matters, nothing but him. Follow your dreams, odd as that seems to be."

This is yet another inaccurate stereotype. The princesses know how to follow their dreams, whatever those dreams happen to be. That's what they're known for! They did not abandon all other areas of life for their princes. For example, Belle was in tình yêu with the Beast, but still tried to help her father.

1:11: The princesses sing "When you're in love, life is a song. All happy endings never go wrong. 'Cept when they do, sadly that's true. Who knew."

It's true that tình yêu isn't always easy, and sometimes Disney phim chiếu rạp have somewhat unrealistic relationships in them. However, true tình yêu is one of the most beautiful things in life and the princesses hiển thị that bạn can follow your dreams, and tình yêu can prevail. Besides, not all of the princesses have perfect relationships. Pocahontas had to leave her love, and Anna fell too soon for a man with dark intentions, but this video ignores both of them.

1:22: Belle: "I dreamed of daring quests" Ariel: "Seeing the world from east to west" Cinderella: "Instead we just sit inside" Aurora: "Stuck in this princess stereotype"

What?? Belle did get her daring quest, and Ariel finally saw the world (some of it, at least) once she got to land with Eric. They both fell in love, but that didn't mean they had to forfeit their dreams. "Just sit inside"? No way! When, in ANY of their movies, did the princesses sit around all day, at least bởi choice? The princess stereotype is what this video is inaccurately promoting, not the Disney movies!

Basically the rest of the song is repeated other stuff and Elsa pretending to be some fierce girl-power goddess. I don't want to talk in circles so I'm just going to make my main points:

1. Stop pretending Elsa is so strong just because she has ice powers, sings "Let it Go" and doesn't fall in love. She is the main problem in Frozen, and she doesn't do anything to solve it. If bạn want a strong animated leading lady, look to some in the tiếp theo point....

2. Again, if any of the princesses should sing this song, it would be Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, Tiana, Merida hoặc others. Not that I support making fun of other princesses, but if it's going to happen it shouldn't be Elsa at all.

3. I wish people would appreciate the princesses' actual personalities instead of forgetting all of their wonderful qualities and forming them into a ditsy, cutesy, damsel-in-distress mold. hoa nhài was outspoken, Mulan was brave, Belle was smart, Merida could shoot a bow and arrow, Lọ lem was optimistic, and Snow White was cheerful and kind to all. That video somehow took those qualities away from all the other princesses and placed them onto Elsa, who had very little good quality like that.

I don't want this, but I will accept my duty as a princess and do what is right
I don't want this, but I will accept my duty as a princess and do what is right
I've read a few of these các bài viết and thought I would do one for Jasmine, my yêu thích princess. So here it goes.
10. Aurora
Jasmine would have the least in common with Aurora. She would relate to her in the way that Aurora doesn't want to be a princess, she would rather be free to live her own life and marry whoever she wants rather than be told she must marry a prince. She would like that Aurora is kind and dreamy but the similarities end there. Whereas Aurora accepted her duty as a princess with a heavy tim, trái tim and did what she knew was right for her people bởi marrying her betrothed, Jasmine...

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the most relateable of them all?
So I did a phiếu bầu to see who the most relatable princesses and these are the results. Some results are pretty surprising, but for the most it's expected. Let's get started!

11. Snow White

This round was pretty close between Snow and Ariel, but in the end, Snow was out. It didn't really surprise me to see Snow here, những người hâm mộ đã đưa ý kiến that she was too cheery and optimistic. Other những người hâm mộ đã đưa ý kiến that they are not waiting for their prince to come, and can't relate to Snow at all.

She is just completely unrelatable. I feel like she is too unrealistic and fantaisie like and I just can't relate to her. I am very optimistic,...

There's nothing wrong with, and I quote from my friend, "being unhealthily obsessed with Disney" right?
I've been here since May and I've đã đăng a number of các bài viết and has actually NEVER thought of posting an bài viết to introduce myself. I was đọc lexisimm's bài viết and suddenly remembered I haven't done an bài viết like that. So, yeah.

Times change and Disney couples too. From couples of 1937 and 1959 we go to couples of 2010 (in Tagled). The couples change, and the perceptions too. From couples, who are most like traditional and perfect-for-families couples to teen and modern couples. Lets analyze the couples to see.

First Snow White and prince Florian: a couple that met for the first time at the begining of the film, they both fell in love, but Snow was shy as all girls in those ages, the prince goes away with the promest of going back one ngày ( he doesn't says it, but we feel it). They both continue their lifes. As in those...
