♥ Please keep in mind: this is an opinion article, feel free to disagree. But also remember, my opinion is superior to yours.

10. Dr. Facilier

Definitely the weakest DP villain in my opinion. I spent the first half of the movie unsure of what his goal and motivation was. He just kind of seemed like a creepy hobo who lurks about and casts ngẫu nhiên voodoo spells. He kind of seemed like an after-thought in the grand scheme of the story, there was no great climactic battle. His scene in which he tries to tempt Tiana is basically pointless because we know that the princess would never just hand over her prince to be killed bởi the villain like that. It helps hiển thị Tiana's character development, but it's not very suspenseful of a scene. His song was good but kind of long when bạn consider the fact the audience doesn't really understand why he's doing anything he does.

9. Ratcliffe

He's kind of scary and funny at the same time. When he says "I'd help ya to dig boys, but I've got this crick in me spine" I always laugh. His outfit is kind of funny because it's very feminine on an extremely large manly body. His voice is intimidating but again, he's kind of an after-thought of a villain. The villain in Pocahontas is thêm the metaphorical villain that is war and hatred rather than this greedy douchebag alone.

8. Shan-Yu

He has some very chilling lines and is physically intimidating. All in all, he doesn't make a huge impression on me though. He is above the other two for his ability to kill and conquer and his thiết kế is very creepy and dark.

7. Jafar

A người hâm mộ favourite among DP villains, I like him a lot. He is very sinister and sly and perverted. He obviously has a taste for S&M and is a power-hungry sociopath. He keeps his cool and only when he gains power does he laugh and vividly demonstrate what a psychotic twisted madman he truly is. I find him to be a painfully obvious villain though and there's nothing particularly unique about his brand of villainy which is why he's not in the hàng đầu, đầu trang section of the list.

6. The Queen

She is very intimidating to me. I find her elegance and icy reserved yet commanding presence very haunting. She is just so severe looking, bạn can feel the hatred sizzling out of her towards Snow White. She seems like an emotionless sociopath of a ruler. Only when she becomes the equally terrifying hag does she dispose of her composure and reveal the twisted joy she gets out of torturing and killing and burying people alive. She also has that transformation scene in the dungeon which is one of the trippiest, most disturbing scenes in Disney history to me. The direction in that scene is very horror-like. And when she first darkens the window and is smiling at Snow White in hag-form. I'm surprised Snow White didn't pepper-spray her for that look alone!

5. Lady Tremaine

Now this is one twisted sicko. Who derives that much joy from torturing a kindhearted young person? She is abusing a child and literally does it for fun! Her motive is so sickening and vapid. She doesn't want anyone prettier hoặc nicer than her daughters to have any self-esteem! The way she raises Cinderella's hopes for the fun of it shows that it's not just about keeping Lọ lem from a night out - she loves seeing the optimism and faith leave Cindy's eyes. It gives her a satisfied giggle. She's so horrible! When she locks Lọ lem up, the smug look on her face is SO horrid! She is one of the meanest villains I've ever seen in a Disney movie. Her actions are unforgivable. I find it very compelling when DP villains aren't magical and hiển thị the true dark side of human nature rather than being Supernatural embodiments of evil.

4. Maleficent

She looks cool, she's elegant, she's graceful. She's the Queen of darkness. There's something fashionable and cool about her that no one cares to admit they admire. She just seems sure of herself and I tình yêu the way she commands the room in her first scene. She is a bit of a stereotypical demon villain but the fact that she's a very feminine, demure one makes her a first for Disney. She also has a really sick sense of humour with keeping Philip locked up but letting him go. Villains like Ratcliffe would just kill Philip if he didn't want Aurora to awaken. It's the really scary ones like Maleficent who keep bạn alive to suffer for a good laugh. It's not just about keeping her prophecy alive, she actually enjoys human suffering.

3. Mother Gothel

I was very impressed with the most gần đây DP villain. She has a great song and reprise and one of the most compelling princess-villain relationships ever in a Disney movie! It really disturbs me on a new level for Disney. That scene where she brushes toddler Rapunzel's hair and speaks to her in that motherly voice. She actually is the most manipulative sociopath yet! She is able to deceive a young girl into thinking she loves her! And apparently she has deceived a lot of những người hâm mộ too! Trust me, abusive sociopaths can fake affection to a tee if it means it'll be easier to keep what they want - but no loving person would imprison an innocent baby for life so that she can exploit her for her own gain! NO ONE. She is unforgivable and it shows what a great job Disney did bởi the fact some những người hâm mộ of Công chúa tóc mây actually câu hỏi her motives and mistake it for love.

2. Ursula

She's sassy, fun, unique looking, a cool mythical creature. She has an incredible song. She uses some of the most clever deception and manipulation to get what she wants. And all at the same time, there's something kind of likeable about her as well. When she turns into a giant, it's scary. Imagine how Eric feels...being a human in the middle of the stormy ocean with a giant creature with a magic trident trying to kill bạn and your girlfriend! Ursula is a great villain, she's just so memorable and easily my favourite female villain!

1. Gaston

Great song, great villain. Again, I tình yêu villains who expose the dark side of human nature and not just Supernatural embodiments of evil. It's scary how Gaston transforms throughout the film. If Belle wasn't as strong a character and was less bold and brave, he literally would have gotten away with blackmailing a woman and raping her and keeping her prisoner essentially for life! And on hàng đầu, đầu trang of that, NO ONE in the town would know how evil he is because he hides it underneath a charming exterior! I find that VERY threatening! Some people seem to think Gaston is a joke of a villain...um, he's trying to rape a woman and keep her as a sex slave! Disney uses "marry" to convey that he wants to force her to have sex with him seven nights a week for the rest of her life and he is unbothered bởi the fact she doesn't want to! I think Gaston inspired this type of villain we saw later in Disney like Frollo and even Jafar to a degree. How far would he have gone to get his way? He says "Belle is mine!" to the Beast, it sounds to me like no matter how many times she says no, he will stop at nothing to force her to be his. He has sociopathic sense of humour as well, he actually looks joyful when Maurice is being locked up even after Belle has rejected him. He likes seeing someone suffer because he knows it hurts someone who won't have sex with him! He's also terrifying because he's so popular, he has the power here. He can easily make Belle and Maurice, the town rejects, look crazy to force his will on them. All in all, he's my favourite Disney Princess villain. And he's devilishly handsome too, I must say.

Hello Disney Princess Fans! First let me apologize for being a bit late getting the bài viết up this time. I'm sure you're all familiar with how busy the holiday season is, and due to that I got pretty far behind. Also, I would like to thank everyone who helped with the article, as I could not have done in alone.

Anyway, before we get started let me give bạn a brief run down of the Meet the DP những người hâm mộ articles, in case bạn happen to new to the club and/or unfamiliar with them. These các bài viết have been done in past bởi a few other users to showcase some of the current Disney Princess fans. Now, obviously,...

I wrote this bài viết years cách đây for the first ten princesses but now with Beyonce's gần đây contribution to the Disney family in the 2019 Lion King, I figured it was a good time as any to do an updated danh sách with the twelve current official princesses. I decided to add Esmeralda, Megara, Anna, and Elsa too! We just take a look through the Queen Bee's singles and see which one fits each princess based on the title, lyrics, âm nhạc video and general feel of the song.

Do bạn know what's funny? Even though she's all about female empowerment and women being independent, Beyonce's just like virtually every...

Hello all! Many apologies for running a bit behind on this one. The holidays are always chaos incarnate.

Cinderella was our Princess of the tháng for December, and here is a collection of thoughts on why we adore her. Many thanks to those who đã đệ trình comments!

I absolutely tình yêu when Cindy's snarky side peeks through, like when she makes a quip about the "music lesson". It's adorable but also rounds out her character. <3 ~MaidofOrleans

She teaches me to DREAM BIG!!! ~deedragongirl

She is kind, hard-working, and a princess from my childhood that I still tình yêu today. ~LMH5113

I used to give into the hype and I still like her but I've recently realized that she's not that strong hoặc effective of a villain. I've never seen the Angelina Jolie live action movie and quite honestly I don't think I ever will. This is all based on the original Sleeping Beauty.

Now, Maleficent definitely has the classic villain personality (sinister, petty, arrogant) and aesthetic. (she can turn into a dragon, and green ngọn lửa, chữa cháy is cool) She's one of the most quotable and meme-able villains in all of Disney. In fact, I think she's the one who really perfected the look and feel of a "Disney Villain"...

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Lọ lem I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

Công chúa tóc mây is my yêu thích Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and tình yêu learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.

My mother also acts a lot like Mother Gothel....

While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for các bình luận hoặc use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small xem trước of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as bạn can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field ngày with it. Personally, the thêm research I did on the situation around this film, the thêm I was actually fascinated bởi it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot thêm nuanced than bạn think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, bạn can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending hoặc critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...
