Is Merida going to be the 11th Disney Princess?

just because she is of pixar, shouldn't stop her from offically tham gia the line-up, but the kind of gal merida is, the line-up may do what Mulan goes through of being all girly-girly like in merchandise hoặc other. pocahontas is similar in a small way of featuring her in the ballgown worn in the sequel in certain products that feature nearly all of the present 10., merida in other words is not the fairy-tale type of princess. at the same time it would interesting to see her in the line-up.

No she wont. Im not just saying this cause I hate her - really cant stand the way they are promoting this movie. Its just stupid. Since Ariel there have been pro-female princesses and the media has too stupid of journalist to do their homework/ hoặc they are biased because everyone slobbers over PIXAR.

BUT she wont because the Disney Official lineup is for Disney Princesses only. Disney owns Pixar, but they have separate character lineups. People need to stop calling her a Disney Princess she is a Pixar Princess. All I know so far is the Queen, is the main character and villain in the original story and then there is a boy and girl. What I dont understand about " Tangled" and " Frozen" is there was never any need to change the titles of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Mulan, Pocahontas, Why start now??? Don't blame it on " Princess and the Frog" - that actually did better than people will admit. As did hand-drawn animation. Thats how its always been. Disney was founded and grew as a company known for that, I grew up watching hand-drawn and miss it dearly.

Wee must wait and see world box office of Brave. Im sure that she will be 11, cause her popularity...

There have been rumors coming from official Disney sources that Merida is going to be the tiếp theo princess and will tham gia the line up at one point, also the Disney and Pixar merchandise almost always refers to her as "Princess Merida".

I just wish there's a way we could ask whoever runs the Disney Princess franchise if they know hoặc not.

I don't believe so. To be honest I haven't heard anything about it ,but they could very well put her as an official one because she is the daughter of the king I think he is. Plus she does stand for the same principes as must of the others, to stand up and make a difference and not just allow fate rule your life. So I think they may do so.

well, people keep saying that she won't but i find it weird that she's included with the rest of the official Disney princesses, when it comes to the products...
and don't forget that her movie got extremely popular...

I think she will because of her popularity. Also, I think Disney's trying to make a statement if they do add her. Sort of the official, "Pixar, your soul belongs to me" statement. It's only a shame because she doesn't sing. Oh well, at least the Punz wont look as ridiculous any more.
