A Fan's Response to 'People Hating On Ian'

Hi,

The tác giả of 'People Hating on Ian' has adopted the notion that opinions diverging from her own are nothing thêm than disgruntled attacks. I disagree.

Anyway, where was I...expressing one's displeasure with an actor/actress' past performances hoặc a character's past transgressions is not an admission of hostility hoặc hate but a way in which one can express their feelings about the tổng thể direction of the show/characters. Many of us, including myself, may use unorthodox methods to get that message across but in no way is it indicative of some deep-seeded hostility towards the actors themselves.

INLOVEWITHDAMON Firstly I would like to thank you for being respectful. Secondly I would like to once again elaborate on the fact that my frustration was not JUST based on that article. There was a whole different kind of drama on twitter yesterday regarding Ian as well. If other people chose to bring that article in the discussion that's their business, and it's separate from my thoughts. I never called out any individuals. You say it's not hostility towards the actors, but I say that's exactly what it is. Placing blame on the actor who doesn't share your view is wrong in my opinion. I think it was just yesterday when I saw someone here call JP a bitch and I asked them not to do that. I don't like it when any shippers try to place blame on the actors and writers, especially the actors, considering they have no control over what happens in the show. It's like people sending hate tweets to Kat after "Isobel" all over again. Anyway I understand that you don't agree with my premise so I'm not going to try to convince you of otherwise.

ducky8abug @Katie15: Yes, guilty as charged. I called all DE fans 'obnoxious little freaks.' I thought it was the best tactic against some unwarranted comments in a S/E thread. ducky8abug @INLOVEWITHDAMON: I'm always respectful, even when appearances prove false. Anyway, your take on the article is a matter of interpretation. When we express our thoughts, some rely on emotion while others use objectivity. I lean towards the latter. I read that article and interpreted it as the author's displeasure in Ian's performances. Her article and subsequent replies revealed that she was displeased with Ian's past performances. She thought his performances were not as passionate in Season 2 as they were in Season 1. If you go back and re-read not only the article but the replies she received as well as her responses, you'll note that her answers correlate with what I am posting now. In fact, if you'd like, you are more than free to re-direct your attention to that article and review past statements. I guarantee there is nothing ingenious or hostile about it.

Ok guys, I've been thinking about it since 4x15 ended & now I'm pretty much sure the side effect of turniing Elena's feelings off is her unsireing.
At the end of "Stand bởi me" we saw Elena obeying Damon & switching it off. Two scenes lated he asked her not to burn the house ("Don't to it. We'll find another cover story") & she still did it. I think it's not another plot hole, but a very importnt hint...

My Thoughts About 2x19 & A Slight Rant

This is my first article, but I just had to post my thoughts about the latest episode, *Klaus*.

I thought this episode was ok for it being informative, but it irked me with the way some of the characters were acting.

I absolutely loved Elijah in this episode, past & present day. Some others may say he's like Stefan when it comes to comparing his history with Klaus with Stefan/Damon's, but I don't. I also loved Elijah/Katherine scenes, maybe even ship them a little bit.
