Lifedisco Dude, u just won't admit it, but stefan love for elena was really strong. Think about it, when damon came to town, i know he sort of like elena, but he does'nt care about her. He was all obsessed about getting katherine out of the tomb. It was only AFTER he realise katherine wasn't in the tomb that he turned his attention to elena. And those who said stefan and elena are only using each other as a rebound of their loss, let me tell u something, stefan and elena romance was truly REAL. Watch season 1&2. They got into complication togethr, and they NEVER broke up, coz they fight through things together. Tell me something, how many times have elena and damon broke up already, ONLY in season 5? Someone was saying damon offer himself for jeremy to kill, man, i never saw that scene, maye it got lost in the internet. And besides i'm not saying i want elena back with stefan, i mean she's not really my favourite character anymore. Beside we are talking about 'compulsion resistant' where you guys are ontending on believing that stefan never resisted it. And the thing is that I just want stefan to be happy, and i think i already know who's his 'perfect'...( So you're saying that now i'm basically an insecure, neurotic, control freak on crack)...

After all, he did stay locked in that basement for an entire day and didn't even try to get out, even though that's exactly what he was compelled to do. HaleyDewit Okay, the first thing Klaus compelled him to do was to kill Dana and that guy she was with. He did that. Then he compelled Stefan to feed on Elena when the clock struck zero. If she were to run, he had to break her spine. He didn't do that. But that's not because he broke the compulsion. If he had broken the compulsion, he wouldn't have chased her. He tried to break it, even as he chased her, but he didn't actually break it. Then he stabbed himself, to stop himself, physically, because he knew he couldn't stop himself mentally. Klaus walks in with Elena and says 'The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl' So, yes, Stefan's love for Elena is strong enough to try and stop himself from doing what he's compelled to do, but not strong enough to actually break it. Then Klaus compelled Stefan to turn of his emotions and feed on Elena, and that's exactly what he did.

delenabest17 I agree with cahe64 Stefan tried really hard to resist the compulsion but in the end he feed on elena . damon tried really hard too as you can see in 5x14 but he didn't resisted either . only elena broke the compulsion in 5x02 I guess she loves damon very much.

panther-jewel Now that we proved those stupid compulsion resistance ideas wrong and even reminded everyone again of SE’s love to be nothing but a creation by Markos and the Travellers to have the doppelgangers’ blood in one place, there is another attempt to upset us. Nothing of this bothers me, but I just can’t stand people who don’t leave others in peace only because truth and reality are not like they want them to be. Seriously, how much reporting does it take to get an intruder finally removed?

panther-jewel We already discussed all of that in detail after it came up, but to sum it up again shortly: Elena realized being under compulsion and stopped before Stefan was even mentioned, put a piece of metal through her leg to stop herself from killing Damon and preferred to blow both of them up together to having to continue living without him. And of course, she gets calmer thinking about the suffering of someone that she cares about (and we don’t deny Stefan being one of her many loved ones) than concentrating on the person that gets ALL of her emotions to their extremes [Damon]. But this shows again that Damon always knows best what to do with Elena and understands her better than anyone else – what is also true vice versa.

delenabest17 she thought about Stefan pain not her love for him and she was really worried because she could feel what he was feeling so .... just let's make clear that it wasn't her love for him. she wasn't describing how she felt about him .
