aagh! I accidentally deleted this when I was trying to chỉnh sửa it. here it is again with a new title:
Bella could have gotten over Edward in New Moon and even had a real relationship with Jacob in time, but she wouldn't let herself. She felt that moving on would diminish hoặc discredit her twu wuv with Edward and the pain she felt after he left. She wants to believe she can't get over it because she wants to believe that what they had was extraordinary, not like any other teenage romance. She wants to believe no one else in the world can relate to what she's going through. She was alone because she put her pain on this egotistical pedestal. Her's was grander, deeper, thêm irreparable than all else. Healing is for other people with lesser wounds from lesser loves.
Even if she can no longer have Edward, Bella wants to hang onto the fantaisie that she had the greatest tình yêu of all time, something epic. And so she turns herself into a martyr, suffering indescribable, incurable pain forever after. That's the way I think Meyer sees it when she describes the way Bella cuts herself off from everyone as "beautiful." She and Bella see it as Bella generously saving everyone else from sharing her eternal pain bởi suffering alone. What she's really doing is preventing the possibility of healing in order to preserve her fantaisie of grandeur.
I think all people sometimes feel like this to some (much lesser) degree. We don't want to recover because then it makes us look foolish for having been so over-dramatic, diễn xuất like it was the end of the world. We di chuyển on though, not because our pain wasn't real, but because we are mature enough to realize that our emotions had exaggerated our outlook on life. It takes humility and personal growth and courage. Bella's refusal to do this is the epitome of immaturity.
What do bạn think?

On this beautiful spot of fanpop, there's a video link to "Charlie reads Twilight". Originally its "Alex read Twilight". Anyways, I checked it out.
It's this guy, he's about 20 years old I'd say, and he bought himself a copy of Twilight. He reads this on camera, making his comments, one chapter per video. And he's absolutely HILARIOUS! He points out things like odd phrases ("the sun was at the wrong place in the sky") and grammar faults. He sees little things bạn might not have found yourself.
The video do contain a bit of swearing but other then that, they are mostly all right.

There are some core things about the mythical creatures I wish Meyer would have được trao an actual explaination for:
Vampires
1. Turning into bats
She could have explained it as bats are attracted to vampires, but she choose not to adress it at all.
2. Sleeping in a coffin
How about that having something to do with them faking their own death hoặc something?
3. Lack of Fangs
An evolution over time to adapt.
4. Sunlight
Related to the fact ma cà rồng are considered to be connected to the devil.
Werewolves
1. Full-Moon
They meet at the full-moon.
2. Their Anger Issues (yes, I know that some of the Người sói have this)
It could have been explained as a reaction to the moons phases.
3. Pack- Mind
Evolved trait hoặc even a gift from the spirits.
